So now you're not talking about "contracts" like you was with Narine?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH that shut those wipa fanatics mouths real quick to rhatid!! .
That's not as open-and-shut as you think it is....

There is a current court dispute between WIPA and WICB over this very issue, and whether it's a restraint of trade. And remember, the score in WIPA vs WICB is currently 11-0.

What's your point? My view of Narine at the IPL differs little from my view of Samuels at the IPL....

So what about Darren Bravo? :? you were saying he could be stopped because of the contract, if thats the case THE SAME REMAINS TRUE WHERE MARLON IS CONCERNED, so why you asking silly questions?

is that what you're trying to ask? Bwoy, you certainly have a communication problem!
Yes, both Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels have central contracts. Well done on figuring that out....
:D
Both have got contracts worth US$100,000 each, which is not as much as Narine. Bravo is apparently trying to get the WICB to allow him to play in the IPL after the Australia series, but since that conflicts with the England tour, it remains to be seen how that pans out. Who knows, maybe Samuels will make the same request....

Maybe both Bravo and Samuels are trying to pressure the WICB into buying out their contracts.

But I think it would be a mistake for the WICB to "force" the duo to play for the West Indies, and they know that....

I was merely asking why you wasn't being CONSISTENT with your dumb stance on these issues?!! you seem to be HAPPY at the prospect of WI players going to the IPL instead of representing the region!!.. i guess i shouldn't be surprised though as you're not caribbean therefore your interest is merely from an OUTSIDERS point of view!! 8-) .

Well, the news of Samuels signing for Pune just broke, Afro, so you need to give me time to catch my breath....
:D
Given how the WiCB constantly treats their players like dirt, I'm not going to stand in the way of any player who wants to play in the IPL, even if it's Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels.

'With the IPL season clashing with West Indies' home series against Australia in March-April and then the away tour of England in May, Samuels will be available to play for Warriors for the first half. "He has agreed to play for the first ten-odd matches," a Warriors official told ESPNcricinfo.'

So, it seems that Marlon's plan is to miss the Test series against Australia....

Of course you wouldn't wanna stand in their way, cause like i said YOU'RE NOT CARIBBEAN so you don't care, furthermore who has the WICB "treated like dirt"? Gayle cussed off his bosses on public radio while Nash and Sarwan's performances were disgraceful in their last two series, so since the appointment of Gibbo which players has this administration treated badly? :|

As for Samuels, well CHEERIO!!, he'll now be put in the same cupboard as Taylor and Dwayne Bravo, if he thinks he can pick and choose what series he's gonna play then he's gonna be in for a big surprise  , though his bowling will be missed his production with the bat was average at best, i believe Deonarine (who is also an effective off-spinner) is more than a capable replacement, if not him then i'm inclined to believe they will take a close look at Bonner, especially after the ton he hit for the A-team the other day!! 8-) .

My Yankee Jah-fake-can friend, I've regurgitated my views on WI players and the IPL here....

Don't forget to put Darren Bravo in the same boat as Samuels. Lil Bravo's negotiating to miss the Tests in England to play IPL, while Samuels is negotiating to miss the Tests against Australia to play in the IPL.
