Progress? Since Gayle in NZ, the Windies were always ranked seventh ahead of the Kiwis, but now, under this latest list, New Zealand are now level with us on 85 points each....

Mr Samiuddin states
"What he has brought is difficult to pinpoint, but have they not looked more solid, more together, a little greater than the sum of their parts?"
What he has brought is not difficult to pinpoint at all. It is reflected in his Averages !
Unless, there are other more "difficult to pinpoint" metrics used that are not so readily available !
A suggestion of solid looks, unity & punching above their weight is a fair enough assessment if, that is in fact what the author is actually seeing.
"Individually he has brought commitment, dignity and a sense of gratefulness to his role, a feeling that to be leader is to be honored ".
More subjectivity without qualification.
K Braithwaite, F Edwards & D Bishoo have all been dropped, D Bravo is presently in a poor run of form. Of the 5 players mentioned, K Roach is the only one giving us " reason for cheer ".
I do not wish Darren Sammy, or the Team or anyone to fail but I wont blindly support without question.

Thanks Gils. If West Indies decide to build a team around a player whom the powers that be really feel has the leadership "right" credentials then mis-firing batsmen cannot afford to be lingering around the team.

Howzdat, Agreed. If that is indeed the stated policy.
It becomes contorted however, when different standards are applied to the players.

Mr Mapoui,
Do you think Captain Sammy will be introducing his players to the Her Majesty at Lord's. What an occasion that would be:
