When I started shivisgreat.com about 4-5 years ago... Rev has been the main contributor to that site and as you can see there is unfinished work ... The objective of the site it to document and celebrate the great man's career ... Anyone is free to chip and contribute as well.
If you want to start a similar project feel free, would be happy to contribute as well.

Dont be jealous my bwoy! By the way, Shiv is now playing in his 19th calendar year---same as Gary Sobers---did you know Shiv has averaged 50+ in 9 of his 19 years while Gary has averaged 50+ in only 8 of his 19 years ?
Another stat---both Gary and Shiv have averaged 100+ in 2 of the 19 years they played in----but in 2012 thus far Shiv is averaging 104.80---if Shiv ends 2012 with a 100+ average he'll be the first WI batsman to average 100+ in 3 calandar year.

Allyuh real funny. So never mind my many public statements dat i dont go in for that jingoism (excuse the application of the word in this peaceful context) you all still coming up with these GT remarks
Nevermind, as someone who was exposed to lfe in the caribbean at an impressionable age, I learnt that tantalising is a favourite pastime, and that yuh got to learn to tek as well as give it. This is what makes this place unique and also a very enjoyable part of the www for me to express one of my life's interests in.
That piece was a bit of fun, combining my love for music with a few heartfelt reflections on a player whose first test i well remember and one who has graced the game - that's all. Remember, I introduced myself as a cricket loving supporter of the West Indies - the order of the words are no accident. By now you all must observe that my posts comprise a mixture of the most unexpected titbits.
For me it is love for the game that counts supreme. If there wasn't cricket, we would perhaps never have heard of Chanderpaul. Cricket is the winner not Guyana and God knows dat corner of the earth is in need of some social and political reform.
But Shiv is still something like a ......

I recall folks over at CC mocking and ridiculing the shivisgreat.com site----well, they should check it out today---Shiv did achieve greatness---10K runs/50 avg/ICC 900 best ever rating---that is automatic greatness.----and like you said Bally----shivisgreat.com is still a work in progress.
Rev
PS. sensie was also an early supporter of the shiv site---he coined the phrase " the great man" referring to Shiv.

NO! Windiesfans.com is for ALL! It's a platform to discuss everything related to Windies cricket... It's up to the fans to talk em talk. If Rev likes to talk about Shiv what is wrong with that? who is stopping you to talk about your favorite WI players? Just like how Arnik have a thing for the foreigners the Aussies & Brits...

Yes thats all well and good but it gets unbearable when most of the 1st page in this forum has about 5 or 6 threads dedicated to one player. Just make 1 thread and put all the information in there. Its that simple.

BTW, that site is one of the main traffic driver to this one... More Shiv beat ball more people looking him up and then they come here...

you also have to take into account that Shiv is the World's #1 batter so mostly likely you will see more topics on him..
Let Shiv get his 15 minutes of fame..soon WICB will kick him to the curb like the rest.
