I would just say this about Strauss. As a captain, you came good. Congratulations and have a happy retirement.

london and toronto is like the young and the old..yu know..actuality vs potential....
london is old, decrepit with an old parasitic queen..all pomp, ceremony... no substance... colourful but empty save for the lunatic fringe, racist all the way, who miss the Raj even in 2012, lurking menacingly on the edges
toronto is huge, endless potential, vibrant, divese to the enth...burgeoning in all directions.
its just that the air is getting kind of green which worries. we may get old before we time
having fun armik...as per usual. neither city is mine. neither can I call my own, or safely feel a part of...an accepted part of...neiher city caters for me and my kind which is what their lunatic fringes are all about. there is one here too.
there is much to be admire about them I guess but my sight has always been fixed on mine..even as I live here.
where is mine..when will there be my own...cities even greater than these..real humane, 'state of the art socially,' cities... of democracy and peace, focus on human happiness and not on what drives these two here
in such content I am not interested at all at all

You have obviously never been to Kew Gardens on a nice spring day - ha ha ha ha.
Or taken a leisurely stroll in Hyde Park on a Sunday, or wandered through Camden Market, or been to Craven Cottage (or Loftus Road, or Stamford Bridge, or the Emirates, or ......).
Or basked in the sunshine of Lords on a Saturday afternoon watching the West Indians (of old) play.
Toronto my arse
