The women clocked a national record and championship record of 41.29 to win ahead of France and the USA. The Jamaica team of Carrie Russell, Kerron Stewart, Schillonie Calvert and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce took gold, while heat runner Sherri-Ann Brooks will also receive a medal.
Bolt and SAFP are the only athletes to win three gold medals at the Games.
