I also wonder what reasons might be put forward, for failure to implement said proposals.
At least this plan doesn't seem to alienate any particular group of share holders. Greater corporate influence has a few negative connotations to me but it's a staple of professional sport so lets see how it develops.

You see how the presser wasn't advertised & how it's only four man in the room.

And nearly all the Trini and Bajan journalists there were old men....
Says all you need to know about where our cricket is right now.
A press conference about Caribbean athletics or football, in contrast, will have young people there, and more people in attendance.

Didn't see the whole presser, but i thought the presser was quite small to be honest for what really is a major press conference about these MONUMENTAL chances in WICB & world cricket, i would have thought.
I didn't see anyone from Trinidad newsday (if they were there - they didn't ask any question)
Senior trini cricket/media writers/broadcasters like Fazeer Mohammed, Garth Wattley, Vinode Mamchan (Guardian), Joel Villafana, Andre Baptiste, Tony Gray for eg

That's true, Colin - I didn't see Faseer, Garth or Ruskin Mark there....
These are the journalists I used to work with in one capacity or another when I was at the Trinidad Express briefly in the mid-1990s. It almost seems that these were a hand-picked bunch who wouldn't rock the boat too much. And given that Faseer and Tony Cosier were recently doing commentary in Trinidad, it wouldn't have been too hard to tell them to hang around for this.

It's one year since this administration took charge so presenting a list of accomplishments would have been the most natural thing to do.
Adding a 4 day sponsor to Nagico would truly show an objective progression from the last dispensation.
the WICB deficit is US$10m
The interest must be quite ....... interesting.

How long would it take to pay off at the new & improved rate of income, longer than the next 8 year cycle perhaps.

As I said last week, they will echo the ICC position. After all, it's an ICC initiative
And given that Faseer and Tony Cosier were recently doing commentary in Trinidad, it wouldn't have been too hard to tell them to hang around for this.
Unless they might have access to
more detailed and exclusive information.
perseverance
Monitoring the process at each stage yields a lot more clearer, and useful, results than blanket statements after another 3 day beating, no matter how close to the action one may, or may not be.
The level of interest also ensures greater accountability and public understanding of what may seem complex or unrelated issues

Hmmm....to me, that's a bit late. If you can't get together an XI to play for Kingston College, then that's where the problem lies.
You need to start much earlier than that....
Cameron says that our FC cricketers will become "professionalised" this year...that's something we can hold him to.

Mike!!...what Pybus is saying is TOO MANY of our young players get lost because they have nothing in-between u19 and the first class!!..so an academy for players 23 and under would be a great way to keep them developing while waiting for a chance at first class level!!..South Africa have an under23 competition and i'm wondering if Pybus has that up his sleeve?

.
Anyway let me say i'm DELIGHTED what they've said today...and it appears everything me and others have been FIGHTING for and been telling the board to do is coming to pass my friends!!..it's a good day to rhatid!!

.
Just a few more points..pybus is SPOT ON!!...if we get on the same playing field as our rivals where as far as how our domestic system is structured then it will only be a matter of times before we catch up on the cricket field itself.
Sponsorship for the four day is also another thing i've put to them over the past year and common sense always suggested that changing our four day competition to a home and away system would bring in some sponsors..and not the crap we currently have.
