some of the best performers in the ipl, for example, have been top performers in tests. we are talking warne, hayden, gilchrsit, murali, tendy, kallis, kumble, dravid, jayawardene etc, etc, etc

i think it is easier to adapt from being a world class test player to being a world class t20 player.

so i would go down the test road and then adapt my game to t20.

Interesting point there Bro. But these new players like Warner, Pollard, Yusuf Pathan etc. have shown that you don't need to be of Test quality to be successful in T20. All you need is an ability to swing like tarzan and make 30 in 10 balls consistently.

The scenario was an indirect reference to Kraigg Braithwait (sic) and Jonathan Foo. Braithwait has honed and taylored his game for Test cricket, whereas Foo is the new big hitter in T20's. After only just one domestic tornament Foo became an overnight sensation - Braithwait on the other hand is still an unknown in cricketing circles outside Bim and the Caribbean. Take a guess which one has the bigger bank balance.

Hey, I don't have a problem with players looking after numero uno....

But when you put personal financial considerations ahead of the West Indies, that's when I stop cheering for you. I pay my money to watch West Indies play, not to watch Kieron Pollard or Dwayne Bravo play.

I wish them luck, but any player who refuses to sign a West Indies contract because they want to make more money as a 20/20 mercenary is no longer a WI player, IMHO....

No. I still expect to see them playing for WI a good bit, though.
