Sammy can't mek the team and Barath too young.
Sri Lanka is a tough tour for a young captain... WI never won a test there much-less a series..

The destruction of WI cricket has happened a long time ago....
Whether they give the captaincy to Nash is neither here nor there.
Based on the confirmed list of central contracts, here are those players who are sure of a place in the side:
Chanderpaul - unlikely
Benn - no way!
Roach - too young
Nash - possible
Barath - too young
Shillingford - too inexperienced
Maybe for the Sri Lanka series they may just give it to Sammy, who has some captaincy experience, and see how it works. Of course, the option is to give it to Sarwan, and to see if his attitude will change with a leadership role. Gayle's performances improved when he was given the captaincy, too....

we are donw mikesiva...our lowest ebb ever. and yes long time we cricket get busted-up. I see however dat yu still care a bit.
I dont know if dat is good or not. I would have to know what your picture of the westindies is at this time to try and judge.
I exposed my impression of the region..allyuh know what it is and the way I believe our cricket and all else can be rejuvenated...the society as a whole. there will be no cricket rejuvenation unless the society changes for the better.
this is what mapoui established from the day he began posting on sissy several years ago...no positive social change, bringing a new class to power...a class that representrs democracy, the achievement of real independence for the region.
yet given the stage we are at and the likely compostion of the team I see no reason why Barath should not be given the job of captain, with the intent of gieving him all the necessary support he needs to grow successfully with a new team.
the support idea is the pipe dream for if they destroyed the cricket why would they now put in place a positive scheme like Barath, with a support team around him and a real plan for the next 10 years?
no they wont do that! they will select the worst options...Devon Smith or Skansh.
and with skonsh as captain they could also send googly as vice captain and opening bat, opening bowler and main spinner, to give skunsh all he needs to win for the first in Lanka

the if the fans vote in Sknash fuh captain we have a new westindies and the old westindies is dead...the westindies of the struggle for independence, the rise of worrell, Sobers, Kanhai etc.
the old westindies of nationalism and indpendence is done, dead!...long live the westindies!
it is also time for me to move on for all that I knew to be the old place is long gone and we have a new westindies that does not recognise my thinking if it sees it...does not see any such thing in fact..and the children of traitors can come back and be embraced, given the keys and all else that is ours, that we won by hard struggle.
our children now give it back freely whereas it was stolen from us in the past.
no international embarrassment apparently can staunch those who wish to demean, disrespect and destroy westindies cricket...such as googley here... who is a staunch hater of westindies cricket as it has been precisely because it has been a blc cricket, and afro cricket.
googley would like an Indian westindian cricket but first he must destroy westindies cricket as it has been known. so he calls now for Sknosh as cappo to further the decline along its way. googley does not know but the easy and most effective way for Indians to take-over, the way that would commands the respect of the world is to be able to play cricket itself and win, to be champions. so if west-Indians could play that kind of cricket and 11 of them win places as best and go conquer the world no one can gainsay their achievement. will respect it and westindies cricket for whatever it is on the day of its championships.
in all the noise redbaron and all googleys supports make about selection or non-selection of Indian players the fact is that with one or 2 exceptions, Indian players cant play, as inept and incompetent as all other westindian players, often worse than afro players, all of whom pale in comparison to their forebears.
that is the truth. mister googley sees the westindies as a whole as ultimately an indian sea. in fact he sees it as almost so already for the blac power in the region as compared to indian power is already negligeable. and in cahoots with the Indian international and the western white neo-liberal powers, with who indians identify afros have no remaining chance. their is an indian juggernaut rolling their way...the afos way..that go roll dem into the ground
all ah dat an' more behind googleys call for Skonsh as captain. so the new westindies, which is prolly googleys Indians... mainly will call fuh sknush as cappo, fill up all the polls and presto skonish will be appointed.
but the day Sknish is annonced as westindies cappo is the very last day I will pay attention to westindies cricket ever. it would be a new day as i say, my time would be over and I will move on
