Unfortunately some folks totally miss the point.
The fact that SA won by an innings does not negate the fact that the 22 players on show are among the best in the world.
Steyn is a world class fast bowler and he is well supported by Morkel and Philander. Tahir also played his part.
Now it's on to the series for the wooden spooners - ha ha ha ha

I think you missed your meds again today.
This should have been a 5 test series. The poms should have told WI to go take a hike.
Don't worry Gibbo and Sammy building a side to challenge the South Africans. Once Darren and Kirk get their act together they will start putting up the numbers that Amla and Kallis have - ha ha ha ha.

The way KP plays he always gives the bowler a chance. I reckon that if he tempered his aggression and played more circumspectly he would probably have scored a lot more runs. But you know what, that is the way he plays and he aint changing.
AN MAKIN' EXCUSE FUH pIETERSEN WHEN NONE IS NECESSARY!
it does not matter wat set up reputedly Morkel did or tried. dat ball was all dat was necessary.
morkel cant produce that ball everyday. it was perhaps a fluke ball..or Morkel is capable of producing it, but cant call it up at will
look again at dat ball an see wat it did!
it pitched on a beautiful length just slightly inside leg stump and Pietersen covered up properly slightly forward. and at the very last moment the ball swung, moved enuff to the off to beat the bat completely and scatter middle and off.
Pietersen was down the line. leggish where he saw the ball. but it did not remain there..moving late, late, late. oh bwoy! too much!
I dont know of anyone who could have played dat ball successfully..maybe Lara in during the period he scored 375, 501 and so on. but only maybe.
to have defended dat ball you had to have locked onto it like laser and watched it onto the bat..the the eye and the bat tracking the ball in perfect coordination..moving with it, as it moved late
dat balllis the only factor in yuh favour calling these great sides..the test of the tests. that ball was worth a lot in the game..but not enuff

typical resort to invective and and improbable conjecture to excuse your claims which turn out to be a lil short of what you effused from the start.
take wat hike. a 5 test whitewash is the same as a 3 test one

It is pointless trying to have an intelligent discussion with you about cricket.
You are the fount of all cricket wisdom and as you say only Lara could possibly have played that ball!!
I will continue to enjoy the rest of the South African/English test series.
