Well it didn't.
3.6 Watson to Gayle, OUT, Gayle's gone, Watson gets him out, shortish outside off, Gayle cut at that one loosely, got an edge, a clear edge straight to the keeper, big wicket

CH Gayle c †Samson b Watson 34 (16b 6x4 1x6) SR: 212.50
And that in a nutshell is why Chris Gayle will never be a great in my books. That was a nothing shot, absolutely nothing! Against that bowling attack that was a Gayle Failure, imho.

In fact it was a Supergayleyfaileyinexpicablyallatrocious shot, especially against that bowling attack.

I know, I see you playing widit, have fun. 8-)

Those were his words regarding WI performance & the fallout that comes when he fails.

It's said when Gayle don't make runs WI lose, I think the same can be said for RCB too, & any other team he plays for. Lets see today ....

Fayle is nothing but a flat track bully!!..when the expectations are minimal he'll beat up an average attack on a flat deck with his hit and hope tactics, but when you really need him like we did in the t20 final he'll flop bad. Di only decent jamaican around now is Samuels, all di others are garbage!! 8-) .

"And that in a nutshell is why Chris Gayle will never be a great"

H Beckles disagrees "Chris Gayle, the undisputed gorgon of the 20/20 game".

Undisputed Gorgon! Don't mek me laugh. Chris Gayle gorges on bowling dat come sweet like eccles cakes. Contest that :!:

Mr. Beckles' pronouncements always strike me as being sorta up his own a$$ on account of his Title. By weaving the term Gorgon into his piece is he trying to show some sort of common touch? What are we to make of the Undisputed bit? Ah well.

Oh, oh Hilary is a Sir! Sorry sir, no disrespect intended but datz how I chat about Chris Gayle living it large against eccles cakeballs. Btw Sir, do i get any points for clever handling of the B?

Dear www, In the interests of balance please see Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Office of the Principal, The University of West Indies

Meanwhile, Chris Gayle lives it large, i mean gorges himself, against eccles cakeballs. Mr. Beckles approves.

Now, now Gils doan tell me you need a home economics course :?: Eccles cakes are sweet, Olives are savoury and n'er the twain shall be mixed according to some. However, you did notice my little point about 'common touch? But Captain? Wouldn't that be a branch too far? Maybe not, as we now have JamDom's in da house.

Indian Premier League, 46th match: Pune Warriors v Royal Challengers Bangalore at Pune, May 2, 2013
6.3 Suman to Gayle, OUT, and now he's gone, big, big fish and a good, good catch! Gayle was looking to repeat that stroke, only this time he was looking to play it over mid-wicket than hitting it straight, gets bit of an outside edge and it's gone very high in the air, Bhuvneshwar has to run across to his left and he takes a very good catch there, Gayle's gone for 21
