At the risk of being (misguidedly) accused of raining on the West Indies parade, I hafi opine that the handling of the bowlers after lunch was a joke! It is highly likely that Pakistan would not have made 81 if Bishoo had been given a spell just before and immediately after lunch. The thinking behind the decision not to bowl a spinner on a worn 5th day wicket it does not stand-out as a shining illustration of what the captain may have in the 'smarts department'. Good victory nonetheless.

Knowing West Indies as we do there is a good chance that the performance in the 3rd Test: West Indies v Pakistan at Roseau on May 10-14 will leave lots to be desired. We will see.

Gabriel 5-11!
:)
As I was driving to the beach, I was listening to the match on KLAS FM, and Pakistan were 11-2. When I was driving back from the beach, they had slumped to 57-7! Before I reached my destination, they were all out for 81. Well done guys, and a good support job from Holder and Joseph.

Ah well, I guess that while an entire series is only fair enough for a batsman in the position that Singh finds himself in, the counter argument is that it is in the West Indies batting lineup it is highly likely that it will ever be thus that he comes out to bat with a salvage job at hand, therefore unless he gets a grip and comes good at this level soon we will see the same point being made over and over again. Anyway I wish him well

Pakistan 19/1, Chase takes the wicket. I don't want to jinx him but at this rate of development Chase is shaping up to be counted amongst the leadership core in this team.

Joseph gets the second wicket...Babar out for 55. That's the kind of score our top order of Kraigg, Powell, Hetmyer, and Singh need to make. Shai finally made a half-century, for the first time in 17 innings in the last Test. I hope we don't wait another 17 innings for the next one....
:?
Azhar Ali 85 not out, and old man Younis is 10 not out. Pakistan 169-2....
