Brown announced in June 2010, that due to a lack of funding and support from the Jamaican Tennis Association, he was tempted to switch nationality, and play professional tennis for Great Britain, his paternal grandparents being British.[4][5][6] However, in October 2010 he decided to compete for Germany, his country of birth, a move confirmed on his official Facebook page. Brown's first event playing under the German flag was Eckental.
Meanwhile, Cricket whites: out of fashion for black Britons
Taking a chance to follow the progress of Dustin Brown in this year's Wimbledon.

First set to Brown! Who then promptly gets broken at the start of the second set; Hewitt holds to take a two game lead.

Brown, whose game is characterized by a big serve, to serve... holds in the third game to reduce the deficit, score is Hewitt 2 Brown 1 in the second set; Brown leads by 1 set to 0.

Brown breaks Hewitt; holds his own serve to take a 3-2 lead in the second set. (as an aside i must let ya'll know that howzdat's opinion is the the commies fully expect Brown to lose; however according to what i am seeing Mr. Brown is not here to mek up the numbers).

Brown holds in the critical 9th game to take a 5-4 lead in the second set (this Mr. Brown is not working on remote). Hewitt 0-40 on serve! Brown returns with a forehand down the line Hewitt can't get it and consequently loses the game. Brown wins the set 6-4 to take a 2 - 0 lead in the match.

The crowd still rooting for Hewitt! Meanwhile the commie informs us that Mr Brown speaks German, Jamaican and English!   Vorsprung durch Technik :P :P .

Brown crucially holds in the first service game of the third set! and follows up with a hold in the third service game of the third set!

Hewitt holds his serve then the last 2 points of Brown's next service game were pure genius. He holds to go up 3-2.

Hewitt the holds to love so the scores are level at 3-3.

The crowd are rooting for the Aussie while I on the keyboard backing the dread :) Looking at his style of play anyone would believe that Mr. Brown is taking a knock-up in his backyard.

Brown holds serve in game seven to take a 4-3 lead.

The commies continue to be condescending!

Hewitt serving 0 sets to 2; and 3 games to 4 in the third set. Serves a double fault at 15-15, retrieves the point loss with an error from Brown and then goes 40-30 up. Brown slips, loses the point and Hewitt levels 4-4.

Brown's style is a mixture of tennis, squash and improvisation! Wonderfully natural sportsmanship.

Brown holds to go 5-4 up. Hewitt to serve. Starts with a fault but holds to level the scores at 5 games all. Brown holds serve in a tense 11th game to go 6-5 up. Hewitt holds and now we go to a tie break which Hewitt wins!

In set 4 the first two games go with serve and then after a tussle Hewitt is broken so Brown takes a 2-1 lead and so from here on in if Brown holds all his service games the match is his! IF! Brown holds to go 3-1 up.

Hewitt's service action is barely holding up and after a ding dong battle he is broken! And so Dustin Brown goes two breaks up in the 4th set of the match and leads by 2 sets to 1. Dustin to serve, holds to love to go 5-1 up in the fourth.

Windians and Windiannas let me tell you that Mr. Brown is doing us proud! :D :D :D

Hewitt holds. Brown loses the first point of his service game but wins the second to level at 15-15. Brown wins a point and then loses one to level at 30. Brown then wins the next point and then Hewitt goes long on the next and Brown wins the match!

Well worth the hunch I had to follow this match all because of the topic. "Cricket whites: out of fashion for black Britons" Nice one BallOil and all who contributed to it for it led to me following the tennis match.

Congratulations and Jubilations for our Mr. Brown who completes a 6-4 6-4 6-7 6-2 win over Lleyton Hewitt on Court Two. He will play Adrian Mannarino of France next.

Dustin Brown speaking after his four-set win over Lleyton Hewitt: "I won a lot of matches in qualifying and the first round and that gave me a lot of confidence. So often I have been close to winning big matches but this is the first time that it has gone through. After losing the third-set tie-break it was tough but I had to just keep playing my tennis and tell myself that if I was going to lose in five sets so be it. I was serving good volleying good and returning good sometimes."
And what do the rest have to say? :
John Lloyd, BBC Sport

"There is nothing conventional about this man. The qualifier can afford to upgrade his campervan now, it's the win of his life, he's beaten the former Wimbledon champion and former number one Lleyton Hewitt. He was outgunned today. Hewitt had no answer to the unpredictable brilliance of Dustin Brown. He came out with a plan to go out and get Hewitt from the start and that's what he did."

Frew McMillan on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "Even after he lost the first two sets, I thought Hewitt would pick up where he left off against Wawrinka."

"It was an all fashioned grass court match with Brown's own artistry. He gave Hewitt very little chance to settle back into an routine against Brown's unorthodox style. Brown is something different."
Our Mr. Brown is not controlled by remote; he is powered by dread Rastafari! Catch the highlights if you can, but trust me they do not tell the full story.

Yep, to my mind this is one Caroline who showed signs of immense promise in a straight sets defeat to Serena Williams. Though comparatively of slight build she hits the ball astoundingly hard and has a sharp mind! My bet is that if she can maintain her current rate of progress her ranking will have surpassed that of most of the female Brits (for starters) within two years.

Oh Caroline your play is worthy of a song methinks :P :P :P So courtesy of howzdat that one is for you .... take it away ...

(howzdat completely insane yeah, yeah, yeah! Oh and shame on you if you thought it was that ex army fella tune gonna hit my decks   Allyuh see how dat gal face pretty and she skin soft and smooth :?: So how dare you could think datz how i was gonna reach in the collection and pull out a song by an artiste with such a suggestive name as Shaggy   )

Today I lef dat coarseness for for Googs who self confessed dat 'something came up' so he couldn't attend the cricket match

Caroline Garcia a star in the making.

howzdat wrote:Just caught myself thinking random thoughts of interest to no-one in particular. Thoughts about: personal safety, immigration, economics, measures taken by governments to keep the citizenry safe from 'unsanctioned terrorists', the internet, web crawlers, various topics posted on this site and I realised that it is not too far-fetched to imagine that this website could well innocently appear on some government corporation's 'watchlist' - and quickly ignored I imagine.

Why I thought that? Well look at a few of the words that have been used in a current topic: terrorist, bearded, weed, visa, immigration, donald rumsfeld, george bush, olympics, politics, muslim/moslem.

All used innocently enough (does anyone on here accesses the internet via a VPN or has a floating ip address) Could this site pop up on Big Brother's little brother's watch list? No, not at all because I don't like cricket, I LOVE IT.
The subject of immigration is very much on the lips of every British politician, which is just an excuse for British people to vent their racism and xenophobia in a disguised way. When I hear their rants, I just smile and remember that poem by Louise Bennett:

"Wat a joyful news, Miss Mattie
I feel like me heart gwine burs
Jamaica people colonizin
Englan in reverse.
By de hundred, by de tousan
From country and from town,
By de ship-load, by de plane-load
Jamaica is Englan boun.
Dem a pour out a Jamaica
Everybody future plan
Is fe get a big-time job
An settle in de mother lan.
What a islan! What a people!
Man an woman, old an young
Jus a pack dem bag an baggage
An tun history upside dung!
Some people doan like travel
But fe show dem loyalty
Dem all a open up cheap-fare-
To-Englan agency.
An week by week dem shippin off
Dem countryman like fire,
Fe immigrate an populate
De seat a de Empire.
Oonoo see how life is funny,
Oonoo see de tunabout?
Jamaica live fe box bread
Out a English people mout'.
For wen dem ketch a Englan,
An start play dem different role,
Some will settle down to work
An some will settle fe de dole.
Jane say de dole is not too bad
Because dey payin she
Two pounds a week fe seek a job
Dat suit her dignity.
Me say Jane will never fine work
At de rate how she dah look,
For all day she stay pon Aunt Fan couch
An read love-story book.
Wat a devilment a Englan!
Dem face war an brave de worse,
But me wonderin how dem gwine stan
Colonizin in reverse."

Jose knows the import of legacy. ... now a few days later we have news of a Colossus impeding departure from the Managerial helm. I recall also that Jose also spoke a little bit about contracts nowadays in football prompting me to ask, "So Jose, have you any contracts to rip up?; and whilst we having a little chat pray tell, "do you fancy a tilt at that Manchester United job?" You have seen the honours board haven't you? Good.

If Jose could seal the deal on a CR7 return to Manu, does anyone think that the Glaziers gonna blink first? Apparently, David Moyes is the bookies favourte. We'll see as this is going to be very interesting.

Talking of kudos, hats doffed to Mr. RVP and in so doing one again marvels at Sir Alex.

RVP + CR7 or Gareth Bale for next season?
