' Dave Cameron has said Darren Bravo was offered a Grade-C contract because his "poor" recent performances did not merit a higher pay grade. Cameron also revealed that of the 15 players who were recently offered WICB contracts till September 2017, only Kraigg Brathwaite and Marlon Samuels had received contracts higher than the C category. 'West Indies Cricket Board has sent a notice to Darren Bravo saying the batsman's match contract has been cancelled due to the "disparaging" remarks he made on Twitter about board president Dave Cameron earlier in the week. In an e-mail sent to Bravo on Friday, Richard Pybus, WICB's director of cricket, warned that if the batsman did not delete the tweet and apologise by Saturday afternoon, he could face further action from the board's disciplinary panel. Am finding that this twittering training is a bit like dem laps wot the windies players dem was doing a few years back Laps is good for stamina, heart and legs but I also think that for my arms I will have to incorporate that Champion dance that accompanied that song by @Newbigdog.

Such training might also help my arms to support my fingers to type more sensibly!

West Indies coach fired?

By now we all know that Simmons was indeed on borrowed time. Since then, on February 3rd 2017 to be precise, Afghanistan have appointed Phil Simmons as a consultant - nice wuk if you can get it. According to the ACB the the overall scope of his remit is "to assist head coach Lalchand Rajput on technical issues". The arrangement covering series against Zimbabwe, Ireland and West Indies.

How have things progressed? Well, in February 2017 Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe 3-2 in a 50 over series; in March 2017 Afghanistan beat Ireland 3-0 in a T20 series!

What next you might ask? Well, in June Simmons and his charges are arriving in the West Indies.

Heaven help us all if Simmons leads his charges to victory!

LOL howzy you scared of di Afgans now? ....Of course our limited overs teams have had a torrid time of late but I still believe we have the talent in the region to make a comeback. Playing a confident and well organised England whilst we have seniors missing was always gonna be tough. Hopefully by the time we play Afganistan we'll have the likes of Charles, Narine, Darren Bravo and maybe even Pollard back!!!..and I think their experience should give us a great chance to get some wins and build some confidence.
