The batting aggregates make for interesting reading....
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/county-ch ... tournament" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
1) Jimmy Adams (Hampshire) - 987 runs, ave 49.35
2) Ramnaresh Sarwan (Leicestershire) - 941 runs, ave 40.91
3) Brendan Nash (Kent) - 908 runs, ave 47.78
Something tells me that if the Windies repaired their fences, Sarwan and Nash are back on form, and could be a good addition to the middle-order. But, sadly, that's not going to happen under the present WICB setup.
Okay, Afro, let's look at their Test averages, and compare them to the current set-up....
Sarwan - 40.01
Nash - 33.42
This is the top six in the last Test against the Kiwis:
1) Chris Gayle - 42.32
2) Kieran Powell - 25.42
3) Asada Fudadin - 30.50
4) Marlon Samuels - 34.97
5) Shiv Chanderpaul - 50.20
6) Narsing Deonarine - 29.40
There are four players in that side who average less than Sarwan, and three players who average less than Nash. This top six may be good enough to beat New Zealand and Bangladesh, but just watch what happens when they come up against the big guys again....
