It would be asinine and myopia to look at stats selectively while blatantly ignoring career stats.AFRO wrote:Don't the last 12 months include the FIVE ODI'S we played against Zimbabwe and possibly some FC matches we had against Ireland aswell?BallOil wrote: Stats for the last 12 months Please tell me who failed to deliver?![]()
So like i said look at their performances against Australia, Sri-lanka and in the world cup then come back and talk!!, even in the SA series they didn't set the place on fire.
Boycott the home series!

the only criticism I could have of the seniors in this issue is that they have not come out with whatever case they have with the board, and the sitaution in westindies cricket..that ails them and affects their play negatively.
just as I have called on Sammy to prove his decency by resigning, just so I call on the senior players to be men, stand up and call out the wicb on whatever issue that ails them now, that may be interferring with their performance.
they must stand up and be prepared to quit now over the issue if it is the Sammy captaincy and the way the side is selecetd and coached.
given the stage they have arried it it is their responsibility to westindies cricket, to the westindian people, to so come out, call out hunter the skunt and the hilaire sancho panza, and the whole wicb mafia, precipitate a crisis if necessary..and be prepared to retire if they lose or to retire up-front.
that is the way to go rather than stick around in the ridiculously led and coached side, disatisfied and failing. dat is the conclusion I have come to. deh shud state their case and quit now

It is a bit tricky for the players to do so personally... The players should raised these issues to WIPA, and let WIPA run with it...
To be honest, it's hard to be at your best in a hostile environment... However, the seniors constantly putting up the numbers, see the average link in this thread.

is that a WIPA issue? it is related to labour and conditions of labour...so I gues it is. well why not. but they must act and not fart around failing and fooling around and unhappy in the side

Agreed! Let WIPA represent the players...hope we hear something shortly. There are two sides to every story... Maan this is a hostile environment to be in... Wonder what Gayle was alluding to in his tweet in response to Gibbo comments..mapoui wrote:BallOil wrote:It is a bit tricky for the players to do so personally... Jala and dat other fellow talking a lot but I dont know if they are really aware of things.
this situation is exactly the way westindies cricket functioned from 1948 to 1961 when Worrell took over. it is the same way ot functioned from 1928 to 1939 before the war break.
but the 19-fifties wold be more precise. westindies cricked has morephed back into the past, which as a reflection of westindies society proved beyond a doubt the lack of social evolution that indepenence has come to represent.
what independece has been is a simple transistion and renewal of colonialism, with the blac and brown elites taking over the old positions and jobs of the colonial colonial bureaucracy, that were reserved for white officials.
and the renewal of colonialism in the westindies has lasted 40 years in some kind of order I guess but now once again in utter failure, run out of steam it is reverting back to naked force and open corruption of the bad old days under the british.
in cricket the only factor that is missing from the old days is blac/white racism. there is only 1 white player now the returning un-prodigal sknash

the old colonial system is back in full force in westindies cricket.
selections are made by insularity and not on merit, the wicb act arbitrarily most of the time, its processes totally undemocratic and unresponsive to popular concerns.
the way the wicb elects its chairman is reminiscent of the electoral process the USA institued in Haiti, once the legally elected president was deposed.
the wicb is nothing but a MAFIA and its inner circle acts to keep the status quo in place in perpetuity. the elected officials are selected not elected....are always unopposed.
that is nothing but colonialism and dictatorship!

Are you saying that the WICB is West Indies cricket own enemy? The boar with the following mission statement?
To develop and promote West Indies cricket for the benefit and enjoyment of the West Indian people, its clients and other stakeholders by procuring a consistently high-quality, successful and international West Indian product.

But we're not talking about "career stats" though we're talking about what these players have done over the past twelve monthsBallOil wrote: It would be asinine and myopia to look at stats selectively while blatantly ignoring career stats.
