I am not judging players by their one day stats. What I am saying is Samuels failed against Pakistan in the onedayers and in tests he would play against better Paki bowlers, therefore it is very likely that he would continue to fail.
AND YOU'RE REVEALING HOW DUMB YOU REALLY ARE!!.. for a start your notion on how Samuels would do is A WILD GUESS!!.. not FACTS, secondly what "BETTER PAK BOWLERS" would he be facing then? ONLY GUL HAS COME INTO THE TEAM and he faced all the others already!!,

RE: SHIV

You said he failed in the world cup.

Well, these were his scores in the world cup:

31, 4, 35, 44*

That's an average of 38.00 Shiv had in the world cup.
Two of those scores were against IRELAND AND THE NETHERLANDS!!..so please turn and come again!! ,

Now, let's take a look at the scores on star batsman Darren Bravo in the world cup.

73, 30, 9*, 0, 5, 22, 0

That's an average of 23.16 Darren Bravo had in the world cup.

If Shiv with his 38.00 average failed in the world cup what would you say about Darren Bravo ?

He was a resounding success, right ?
Darren played more games because Shiv was rightly DROPPED!!, therefore his average was bound to take a dip after he faced India and England whilst Shiv sat in the hutch!! ,

RE: SHIV'S LAST TEST SERIES IN SL

Shiv averaged 31.33 in the 3 tests he played in Sri Lanka, but with an overall test average of 48+ after 130 tests Shiv has earned the right to be persisted with.
WEAK!!, SHIV FAILED IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT, ALSO WHY DIDN'T YOU PRODUCE DARREN BRAVO'S STATS FROM THAT SERIES AND COMPARE THEM WITH SHIV TOO? :D

]
Marlon Samuels averages 28.53 in 29 tests---HE IS A PROVEN FAILURE.

Even in a failed series in SL, Shiv's average(31.33) was higher than Marlon's overall test average(28.53)
So no matter what he does from now on he shouldn't be allowed to play for WI? DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT PLAYERS CAN IMPROVE? i would have thought Simmons would have made you see sense already!! :| ,

Lendl Simmons has played in only 4 tests previous to the current one against Pakistan. He deserves to be given a chance.

BUT SAMUELS IS A PROVEN FAILURE.

In 29 previous tests Samuels has averaged a piss poor 28.53

You can bray all you want Afro---but the reality is Shiv is a world class batsman, while Samuels is a proven failure.

If Shiv doesn't make another run in the current series he will still average in the high 40s.

SAMUELS WILL NEVER AVERAGE 30.
AGAIN YOU'RE MAKING FEEBLE EXCUSES!!.. SIMMONS WAS SEEN AS A FAILURE IN BOTH TESTS AND ODIs AND YET HE'S COME BACK STRONG, SO WHY CAN'T SAMUELS DO THE SAME? WHY ARE YOU SO SCARED TO GIVE SAMUELS A CHANCE YET CONTINUE TO SUPPORT A BATSMAN (SHIV) WHO HAS BEEN GARBAGE FOR OVR A YEAR NOW? YOU'RE NOT MAKING SENSE MAN!!.

Samuels is not Simmons. yesterday for the time I had to watch I saw simmons tying and doing well.
wat was prety good is the way simmons morphed into test batsman from rampaging ODI slasher!

the problem I have with Sammy is the same I have with Baugh. both appear to be mentally challenged and unable to make the bst of their talents like Gayle has.

gayle has many technical flaws as a batsman but has scored powerfully in all forms of the game anyway.

I watched sammy in the ODIs keenly and his approach was ridiculous, so cautious as to be carricature. he looked stultified, clumsy truly silly and da was from his head not from the way we used to se him bat. he used to flow brilliantly mos imes when he got soemthing going.

and he was in good form after 500+ plus dung heap runs and 2 years of rest.

I see samuels as a foolish player..just like Baugh..and expect not much ore than we have seen from both of them. if deh make me eat crow dat is fine. I know how to make dat tas' good!
