P-R-E-S-S-U-R-E!!!

He desperately wants to get a wicket---trying too hard---he has been bowling too quick and too short.

You're right!

I-N-E-X-P-E-R-I-E-N-C-E!!!

In the 1st innings he looked like he could take a wicket nearly every over he bowled.

In the 2nd innings---he looks HARMLESS
I'm a tad disappointed how he bowled in the 2nd innings but wouldn't hold it against him since tis is his debut match. Ajmal was deadly yesterday...

as versed, expeerienced people Gibbo and dem shud have been watching for that and have worked out what deh wudh do in the event.

in fact sammy shudt to have been focused on Bish as anything but part of a 4-prong in which all quarters had to contribute.

no smart captain thinks otherwise, he mus' know his opostion and how to get them out with the bowling he has..all of the bwoling not just of of his 4-prongs

everybody were looking at Bish to win the match. how does a kid carry the hopes of a region on his back in his first game.

anyhow allyuh prolly don know or care wat I mean! but its true. the old white dotish captains threw away many games that cud have been won, not by ram and val by by gomez, worrell, trim and the other pacers.

ram and val were new at the time too.. just 4 tests between both!

all was focused on ram and val and the dotsih white captain, rubbed the new ball in the dirt, killed its shine, in conditions which favoured seam...threw the ball to ram and val and let dem bowl all through.... and lose the match

today in westindies cricket its just like the 19 fifites and forties and thirties and twenties...same thing only the skin colour in power change

there is no substitue for competence, good intellectual ability, memory that can all up all manner fo precendent and facts, experience, to guide a captain through a days play...through a series, a career.

it was critical for sammy to develop a plan to use all hsi bowlers to get the Pak out. he may still do it but he has to rest Bish a bit, take the pressure of expectation of and let him bowl so dat he knows he is not to blame regardless of the result

WAS I RIGHT OR WAT! WHO IS GOING TO GIVE ME MY PAT ON MY BACK!

ITS OK. I HAVE A HAND, A LONG ONE TO SCRATCH MY BACK WHEN MY REAL HAND CYAR REACH. I GO USE DAT TO PAT MIHSELF

thankfully we have been spared the ignominy of defeat like in OZ in 1951, when Gomez and worrell were clearly the bowlers to bowl the Oz out in the prevailing conditions, and win for the westindies... when the high class idiot Goddard killed the ball, rubb-off the shive and let ram and val bowl all day.

I figured dat sammy wud be a handful in these conditions but I ws afraid to say it. anyhow he had to search for a way to get the Paks out and he found it. yuh have to run through your attack...even he sammy...and discover who is firing and what is working in the conditions.

sammy looked. I gih him dat. we tied down with dat fella fuh good now. Big Bravo...permanent T20 here I come

I gih him dat!

not me man. Bish came out of left field for me. I assumed that he Bish, and permaul were'nt so hot if the selectors werent picking them.

so when he was picked, did well and to hear Gibbo say "we always knew about Bishoo" I almost shiite my pants. I had no idea the kid was dat good

I doh claim nutten I doh do man. I dont need to.

I am satsified with my knowledge of the game and its history.

wat I rally wanted allyuh to pay attention to is the historic paralells I draw with current reality and the past. the similarities between currently and the 19 fifties are astonishing. for a minute today I thought we wud have 1951 Oz all over again... but sammy snatched dat deja vous from the jaws of recurrence and repeat in time

at least he did not rub the ball in the dirt to remove the shine so dat Bish cud bowl!
