Mapoui,

I think we looking at the wrong players .... if we want to be objective and compare players to yesteryear...
then, lets do it wholeheartedly... Lets compare the current crap of batsmen to the legends? How they measured up eh? how the bowlers measured up?

We need to stop the selective comparison... ;)

why we are talking about keepers arent we!? I went to the past to put into perspective my claim that Ramdin is the weakest incumbent we have ever had.n he is incumbent, the main man in the job at present!

by the same comparitives were the incumbent Baugh he would be even weaker than Ramdin by same comparison. and the first Brown was an old blight at test level...the seond one a fly by night-firefly who flashed and immediately burnt out !

you keep thinking Ramdin alone, focused on him..but we have a problem..a big one and a general one of kppers/keeping period !

so let gibson keep the faith with ramdin but at this time it would serve him and westindies cricet better to use the opportunities to bring along as many player as he can in search of a winnng team. I would focus Ramdin on tests and ODI while I would use someone else for T20

it is illogical for Ramdin to play in all types of the game at international level.... inconsistent with good strategy.

the impression I have is that yu are not too conrened with the development of westindies cricket bally only with the installation and maintainence of Ramdin. if Ramdin was top quality that might make sense. but even if he was a great keeper/batsman it would make sense to play someone else in T20

Not true ..I said earlier that WI should have two keepers ...but they all suck with the bat. All I said is that Ramdin is the best of the bunch.

Fletcher has been playing T20s/ODIs, against Canada, Ireland, Zim etc of late...

I've asked you earlier if you want a batman that keep who is a good candidate?

Why the batsmen are not standing up a taking responsibility? Why the bowlers are not working on their batting? if Ramdin is not performing with the bat make him bat @ 11 :) WI tail starts @ 1-4 depending on the line up...but we targeting di one "keeper" who primary function is to keep... What about the rest?

ok if yu said that then you are right. if I missed it I am wrong..but thats the way to go. I lkie ramdin and wish he pans out. nut ramdin is an unlucky player. he has been picked too early..had to have been pik too early for there was no one else.

as I said,,all precedent establishes that keepers mature past their mid twenties. ramdin is no exception but by force of need he has been in early and that may make of his career not the best it would have been in normal circumstances
