Hey Mr Mapoui,

A Lucian view:
However with the advent of St. Lucians Julian Hunte, Ernest Hilaire and for the time being Darren Sammy at the helm of West Indies cricket, we are seeing a definitive demonstration of discipline and leadership, which are slowly but surely transforming the performance of the West Indies Team. Today the results are being reaped and although there are still some problems plaguing West Indies cricket,
Hunte, Hilaire and Sammy are building a cohesive team and they are stuck on that path, despite what the detractors may say, do or shout.

Hunte, Hilaire and Sammy are demonstrating extremely effective and enduring leadership, something sadly lacking in West Indies Cricket over the last two decades. The success of our cricket was built on discipline, hard work and patriotism; but just as quickly, it has been destroyed by selfishness, insularity and greed. Hunte, Hilaire and Sammy are going back to the basics to recapture success.

Do you think Captain Sammy will be introducing his players to the Her Majesty at Lord's. What an occasion that would be:

I dont really care who introduces whom to the queen.

the queen is not one of my favourite people. and that kind of celebrations is based on robbery, mass murder...yu know the story.

one of the most sooprisng developments in westindian history was rasta Viv kneeling down to receive a sword on his shoulder from the queen. :o

I mean Sobers doing that was natural..Walcott...Frank Worrell! But VIV!!!!!!

anyhow were I westindian captain I would go through Lords pomp of course. I dont care. But I would accept no knighthood. the queen could piss on that..also arthur in his grave

From David Clough:
DARREN SAMMY (captain, age 28, Test caps 24): Sammy deserves much credit for knitting together a developing and vulnerable squad at a time when West Indies cricket is not blessed with the riches of talent once available. He still needs to convince that his own all-round game merits his inked-in place in the team.
