It's still raining and windy here in London too....

And those pictures of Edgbaston tell us that this is not one of the grounds where the water drains away. In that respect, I suppose it's more like Bourda than Providence....

Would Guyanese posters agree with me on that?

In England, there doesn't seem to be a particular time for these things....

Usually, they want to notify spectators ASAP, so I'd expect an announcement sometime very soon.

The drainage at Bourda was poor but it was made worse with the deterioration of the overall drainage system in Georgetown. Back in the day when trenches and kokers were maintained water drained off pretty quickly.

The GCB said Providence is one of the best draining grounds and that is probably true. It is ironic that a couple of years ago a game was scheduled for another ground in Georgetown instead of Providence. I think the GCB said that Providence was not available because it was booked for something else. Needless to say the rain came and pretty much washed out the game but it could have been played at Providence - go figure!!

deh might give it a next 2-3 hours before abandoning play, yesterday it took 5 hours an de weather seemed like it was worse
