I can't blame either him or the coach for that.
I did not ask you to blame Best..although I don't know where else you will take accountability for his incompetent bowling at 32 years of age.

if blame is to be shared it is for the selection of Best.. that can flow from only 2 sources..the selection Panel and/or the coach.

again..is there a conflict between the panel and the coach?

where are the lines of their responsibilities?

how much power does the coach have?

as far as I see the captain used to have THE say on the selection of his team..so now does the usurper head coach have the final selection say?

my impression is that power in the cricket has passed to the head coach with impositions from head office like Sammy as captain... and now Cottrell and Walton. the selection Panel is mere dressing often with just the chairman alone, doing whatever is left for that body to do.

SO BEST IS ALL GIBSON AND GIBSON ALONE. SO I ADDRESS THE BEST ISSUE THAT WAY..AS IF HE IS GIBSON AND GIBSON ALONE

no one has corrected me as yet and I don't think they can :)

No argument from me.

I made up my mind with Tino a long time ago and he hasn't proved me wrong, I expect little and he never disappoints, ditto for Gibson.

Following your line of thought, the selectors are afforded travel and accommodation to and from each territory, access to every and all cricket in the region, plus food and expenses.

They then provide a list of say 18/20 players from which the Chairman and then Coach chose the final squads. An advisory position and not much more than cosmetic in effect.

Something along that thought pattern would explain WICB's lack of urgency in replacing them.
