Becareful what you asking for... Some people were pushing for Lara to go but WI could have really use Lara as a test player for few more years.
Again WHAT YOUNGSTERS? :?

Gayle (31)
Barath (20)
Darren (22)
Samuels (30)
Nash (32)
Dwayne (27)
Baugh (28)

would be my top order, so by talking about "youngsters" are you suggesting Barath or Darren should sit for Shiv? come on man that would be pure madess man!! .
Without a second thought, YES!

Barath is unfit, and hasn't been able to play for Trinidad. Lil Bravo has totally lost confidence, and scored a duck against Jamaica. So far, Shiv is waaaaaay ahead of these two in the pecking order....

Bwahahahaha what a load of garbage Mike!! , firstly BARATH WILL BE FIT FOR THE TEST SERIES, it's not like it's tomorrow and also SHIV ISN'T AN OPENER, secondly you love to roll out stats from the SA series in an effort to defend Shiv so what about Darren stats against SL (our last Tests series by the way) where he was our best batter BY A COUNTRY MILE?!! they don't count now? oops i forgot it doesn't quite suit your agenda does is Mike?!! .

P.S. when Shiv could only make 4 against Kenya before the world cup funny how you wasn't talking about "confidence" then!!..hhmm i guess people have short memories!! .

I was just answering a silly question of yours, and yes, Shiv is ahead of Lil Bravo in the pecking order....
:)
Here's a story that will probably have you throwing yourself off the nearest cliff....

http://guardian.co.tt/sport/2011/04/05/ ... ck-windies" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A 28-man squad has been invited to a training camp to prepare for the upcoming series against Pakistan, and guess what? Shiv is in the squad....
What did I tell you?

The 'senior players' who are not invited are Gayle and Sarwan, Now, I can understand if they're not invited to play in the ODIs, but I would be worried if the duo are not included in the Test side. Also, I somehow doubt that Big Bravo and Pollard will accept the invites, since they're about to leave soon to join their IPL teams.

Aside from the two Trini stars, the three other non-contracted players invited are Marlon Samuels and Lendl Simmons, who've both produced with the bat this season, and surprisingly Anthony Martin, who only took 16 wickets this season for the Leewards. Players ignored are veteran batsmen Wavell Hinds and Darren Ganga, as well as young batsman Kraigg Brathwaite, performing bowlers Ryan Austin, Kavesh Kantasingh, Gary Mathurin, Amit Jaggernauth, Liam Sebastien, Carlos Brathwaite, Veerasammy Permaul and Shannon Gabriel. Denesh Ramdin, who's produced with the bat for Trinidad this season, and veteran pacer Fidel Edwards, who had a good return from injury, have also been surprisingly ignored.

And because our contract system is carrying a lot of passengers, non-performers like gavin Tonge, Assad Fudadin and Kevin Stoute are also invited, as well as the injured Carlton Baugh and Adrian Barath, the suspended Shane Shillingford, and current WI non-performers Darren Sammy and Nikita Miller.

It does make you wonder what the domestic four-day competition is for, if the selectors are going to ignore the results....

Yeah a Shiv groupie would find that simple question "silly"!!

and yes, Shiv is ahead of Lil Bravo in the pecking order....

In your own mind? i agree, but it wasn't Lil B who was getting dropped left, right and centre in the SL ODI series and at the world cup!!... :D

Btw you failed to respond to my question asking why you contradict yourself by using Shiv's stats from the SA series but ignoring lil B's stats from the SL series? or are you running away from it again Mike?

SO NOW A NEWSPAPER REPORT IS SEEN AS "GOSPEL"? bwahahahahaha i would have thought even a dumb idiot would take that article with a pinch of salt considering IT NAMES A PLAYER WHO'S BANNED FROM PLAYING INTERNATIONAL CRICKET RIGHT NOW (Shilly)..so i'm afraid your Shiv love-in a little premature at the moment Mike!!

They both done better than Shiv at the world cup, plus Gayle has been the leading run getter in the Tests for a while SO THAT'S WHY THAT ARTICLE IS A JOKE, Gayle (and possibly Sars if they don't fancy Samuels) will be in the Test team without question.
Also, I somehow doubt that Big Bravo and Pollard will accept the invites, since they're about to leave soon to join their IPL teams.
So one minuet you was saying "Dwayne can't play because he's injured" (and i told you he would be fit by the way) and now you're praying for him to go to the IPL instead of playing for WI? why? oops i forgot you want to fit Shiv into the team and drop a bowler!!..which of course is naive in the extreme!! :) .

But anyway my team would be..

Gayle
Barath
Darren
Samuels
Nash
Bravo (c)-if he's still injured then Carlos Brathwaite or Kevin Stoute
Baugh
Gabriel/Russell
Roach
Pascal
Bishoo
With Gayle supposedly out there goes your team... :) However, I don't agree with the exclusion of Gayle from the Test or ODI squad.

Well according to Gus Logie Gayle is only injured for a couple of weeks (and he said that last week) so he should certainly be back for some Odi's and the Test matches shouldn't be in doubt, if the WICB drop Gayle from the Tests then they are fecking mad imo!! , if they want to make big changes then make big changes but don't let me see Shiv or Sammy's name on the damn team sheet if thats the case  .

Well the WICB will prove it soon if this article is spot on

Sammy doesn’t belong on the test team. However, I hope Gayle is in the squad.

Please note Gibson is dividing this team rather than help gelling it.

AFRO wrote: Furthermore according to the Trini press Dwayne is back in training now so he is likely to be fit for the Pakistan Test series at least, i'm not surprised you're downplaying his potential to play though seeing as you were questioning his place the other day!!
I keep telling you that there's no way Big Bravo will be playing in the Tests, but you won't listen....
1) His stats in 2010 in Tests were poor;

2) He wants to play in the IPL.

So, the selectors probably said to him, you're key to our ODI side, so please play in it, but we don't need you for the Tests, so go to India to play for your team then....

So, kindly revise your Test 'team' which had Dwayne Bravo as captain....

"Kieron Pollard will miss the five-match series to play for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, while Bravo, who, like Pollard, had opted out of a retainer contract with the West Indies Cricket Board, will skip the two-match Test series that follows the ODIs to join Chennai Super Kings."
