He plays for Leewards!!..apparently England want to snatch him but he says his heart is with WI, i pray it is because he'll be an important member of the top order i believe can take WI to the top in the next four years i.e Barath, Brathwaite, Darren, Hughes and Alleyne.

judging by youth record i think kyle mayers is a better player than alleyne??? and probably keiron joseph and roston chase are also better than alleyne

I'm not convinced that Chesney wants to play for the Windies....

If he really did, he would've made himself available to play for the Leewards for the entire four-day season, instead of only making himself available for two matches. Right now, he seems to feel that his future lies with Derbyshire. When Gordon Greenidge was given a similar choice back in his day, he opted for the Windies.

Chesney's only looking after his own meal packet. If he gets called up to the Windies side, he can no longer play for Derbyshire as an English player, because he holds a British passport. He would have to play as the county's sole international player, and the county wouldn't want that, so he would have to give up his county career. I can't see him doing that....

Chesney was out for six in his match yesterday....

Collymore only took one wicket against Gloucestershire.

What "youth records"? Alleyne has been picked up by an English county side (Surrey) and has been doing very well for their u18s, hitting tons and stuff, also Joseph and Alleyne were just with the WI u19s against Australia and it was Alleyne who helped himself to a ton in the three day game, not Joseph.

Oh look Mike is being "positive" again!! ..probably doesn't want Hughes to take Shivs place!! , the fact is if he didn't want to play for WI WHY COME BACK TO THE CARIBBEAN AT ALL? he could easily do what Maurice Chambers does and keep his rass in England when the county season is done, but no, he comes back and plays the t20s, then the one day competition and also offers to play some games in the four day competition!!, BECAUSE HE'S COMMITED TO WI, whats the point of him leaving his county team now when he can get vital experience with Derbyshire and learn his craft properly so that when he steps onto the international stage he'll be ready to go?

He said his heart is with WI and until proven otherwise i'll be take his word over baseless speculation thanks, because if i can see how great our line-up could potentially be in a few years i'm sure he can too.

If I was 'scared' of Chesney coming back, do you really think he would be reading what I'm saying, and deciding to stay away?
How is Chesney going to get into the Test team if he doesn't play four-day cricket for the Leewards? Until he actually does that, talk about him playing for the Windies Test team any time in the future is nothing but hot air....

Which is a shame, because he's just hit an unbeaten 108, even if it is against a weak Leeds/Bradford team.

The choice of him not playing four day games for Leewards WAS NOT MADE BY HUGHES, it was the dumb Leewards selectors, furthermore he'd probably have to play for the A-team before he reaches the Test side anyway so you're jumping way ahead of yourself, THE YUTE IS JUST 20 YEARS OLD, he can play some four day games next season then take it from there!!,

Deep down i know the emergance of these yutes must hurt you as the more they come through the less likely your hero Shiv will carry on!!.. bwahahahah  .

Roach took three wickets for Worchestershire today, he was a little hot and cold but all in all the commentators were very impressed with him and his pace, they said "they wouldn't want to face him at all" to rhatid!! :D , i really think this experience will take Kemar to another level, in our regional cricket he didn't really seem inspired, but now he's taking wickets in every innings in county cricket and he can only get better from now on imo, HERE is a picture of him celebrating a wicket,

The commentators were also bigging up Darren Bravo, they said he looks like a "massive talent" and they were very impressed with his 62 run knock from the other day, they did mention that he can't field to save his life though!! .
