Chris Gayle, living it large, scoring like a six machine
98 Sixes for Gayle in T20Is, the most by any batsman in this format. During the course of this innings, he went past Brendon McCullum's previous record of 91. In World T20s, Gayle has 60 sixes, which is almost twice as many as the next best: Yuvraj Singh has 31 sixes from 25 innings, compared to Gayle's 60 from 23. His 11 sixes in this innings is the third best in any T20I innings, and the best in the World T20.

World T20, 21st Match, Super 10 Group 1: Sri Lanka v West Indies at Bangalore, March 20, 2016
Pre-match fact:
"Gayle has scored just 76 runs in five T20Is against Sri Lanka with 63 of them coming in one match. His strike rate of 82.60 (to overall career SR 145.64) is the worst for him against a particular opposition."

Having suffered "a left hamstring twinge" while fielding in the World Twenty20 Super 10 stage match against Sri Lanka, he was unable to bat before the end of the match.
Match result: West Indies won by 7 wickets.

Alas, even before a ball is bowled in this game it represents my continued fall down the fantasy league table because the one and only West Indian in my lineup, the "world boss" himself, is being rested

Talk about vex

Not realising that 'The World Boss" wasn't too hamstrung to celebrate with the victorious opponents!... i repeat, there is no rumour, about which to test the truth quotient, that the World Boss fraid of Taliban balls.
Meanwhile, if you interested in the aftermath party aka Banana skin-teeth: Afghanistan 123/7 v West Indies 117/8

Tell me something, is where allyuh does get them pictures from
Anyhow while I wait for an update i hafi mek unu know that a bad-minded person send me a telegram saying datzhow i should start a picture caption competition on this fabulous record-breaking topic and invite the whole world wide readership to come up with a more fitting title than "Chris Gayle celebrates with Afghanistan" .
I write back saying that is email and text carrying the swing nowadays therefore i don't believe in telegram! The good for nothing somebody write back ignoring my protestations and urging that i should
try get a still photo of that BBC page just as it is for all to see with CG standing with arms raised between them victorious Afghan cricket boys (maybe somebody can help us out

)
The plea was so earnest that I had was to tek a long hard look at the page before pressing play and lo and behold i realise what the bad-minded telegrammer was trying to insinuate! And in a flash a caption come to my fingertips: ...

Yes - that's right.
Can anyone imagine Viv Richards leading the opposition's celebrations after a West Indies defeat in such circumstances?
