So they need to score at less than 3 runs an over to win this game. Psychologically that should put all the batters minds at rest. They don't need to take any risks.

Can they apply themselves to the task at hand? We will see.

That was a fabulous bowling performance by the Windies....

Rampaul (4-45) and sammy (3-30) took the wickets to blast Pakistan out for 139, and they received good support from Big Bravo with two, and Bishoo with one. Martin was also the most economical bowler.

Simmons needs to tighten up - 71/0 (13.o ov). He is playing a bit loosely and thus giving the bowlers renewed hope. Good run rate of 5.57 per over. Edwards another very bottom handed player.

Simmons has managed a very healthy run rate throughout this series. This factor plus his solidity would make him a good foil for Gayle - if he can take this form into the test arena.

Good thinking by Edwards to retake his guard. Both batsmen going through a troublesome patch: Poor running between the wickets together with some injudicious shot selection.
They need to refocus.

100 partnership up between these two - a record for this ground - surpassing 99 bewtwwen Gayle and Bharat. Well done.

Pakistan look very, very flat - could this be a sign of things to come once they get put under pressure? If so, can WI create and sustain that pressure in the test series. Or have Pakistan eased up since they have already won the one-day series?

In response to pakistan 139 all out
West Indies reply with an opening partnership of 140 runs, 23.3 overs, RR: 5.95 (Simmons 77, Edwards 40) thereby winning by 10 wickets.
