SA are obviously in an excellent position.
Will they push on for quick runs tomorrow and a lead of around 250.
The pitch is still playing well so in theory England ought to be able to draw the game but..........

This South African side is quite diverse....
Two Muslim Asians (Amla and Tahir), three 'Cape Coloureds' (Alviro, Duminy, Philander), five Boers (Kallis, Rudolph, deVilliers, Steyn, Morkel), and only one British Saffer (Smith).

english pitches were always fair...generally produced results..almost always did.
but the nature of the pitches westindian played on produced resulst only because fo westindian weakness.
I watched Narine bowl on that iron suface in the last westindian test and I was stunned. swann got nutten and narine even less. I had gibbs on my mind and how the english pitches played in 1963 and -66.
there is nutten there now on most of those surfaces. maybe Lords will give the game a chance.
england get hoisted on the this stupid pitch of their own making. the only chance England have is going manno ah manno with the saffie bowling...at home.
england appear unwilling to do this for they fear the saffie bowling attack in any level of helpful conditions
but on the other hand, there are no more awful batsmen than the saffies on iron surfaces. thats what people like smith, Amla and Kallis love..a prostrate attack on a dead sruface. they will never get out. Bullies!
england must trust their batsmen to do better against Philander, Morkel and steyn..than Kallis and company can do against Broad, Anderson and swann.
if not this will be a ridiculous series! 500x fuh 2. nonsense!
