England batted much better on the first day of the final Test match in St Lucia. Paul took two wickets, and there was one each for Gabriel and Joseph, as England made 231-4. Stokes and Buttler hit unbeaten 60s.

I know this is a dead rubber, and that we've already regained the Wisden Trophy, but this poor batting performance shows that we still have some mountains to climb....
West Indies 154 all out
Kraigg 12
Campbell 41
Shai 1
Bravo 6
Chase 0
Hetmyer 8

"The half an hour before tea produced one of those “Oh, my!” moments. During that time Mark Wood bowled a succession of deliveries in excess of 90mph, including the fastest ball of the series at 94.8mph. In 19 balls he took the wickets of three startled West Indies batsmen and transformed the match ..."

The last time the West Indies were on this side of a dead rubber was 1994, apparently.
That might account for the lacklustre performance in this match....
England 325-4
Root 111*
Our much-vaunted four-prong pace attack has taken one wicket each.
Injury concerns to Keemo Paul and Darren Bravo.

"Twenty20 and one-day cricket is vibrant in the Caribbean. Matches take place at work-friendly times in the evening and the post-match party at the Caribbean Premier League attracts non-cricket fans too. It is a place to have fun.
But Test cricket is left to stand on its own feet, with no effort put in to persuade a new generation of supporters to give it a try. There has not been one poster advertising the cricket on any of the islands visited on this tour ..."
Even a winning West Indies team can't draw home crowds to St Lucia as Test cricket left to fend for itself
