Former champions Trinidad looked very impressive in crushing the Leewards in their only match to date. They didn't seem to miss stars Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, as they hammered the Leewards bowling all over the place in posting a score of 150+, which is a good score on this pitch. Lendl Simmons hit the ball all over the park at will in posting 83 off 62 balls, and he was supported by Adrian Barath and Darren Bravo, both of whom hit 20s. And then pacer Ravi Rampaul ran through the Leewards lineup, taking five wickets for just nine runs off his four overs to dismiss the Leewards for little over 100.

Trinidad have set down a marker, and they will most likely be the team to beat in this tournament....
