In one of my nonsense posts on here I happened to refer to the sponsors of the current - 2012/2013 - T20 competition in Australia. Whilst doing that I had in the back of my mind some faint stirrings of memory about having read some interesting
alleged titbits about the sponsors.
One of those memories is echoed
allegedly here.
And now for a finger-pointing good
reminder to the reader

The crowds are low for the domestic t20 competitions in england and australia because their boards wont allow their own stars to take part....
But the ipl is still alive and well....

Gibson in Warwickshire frame. Well, Well I never!!!! What a turn-up! This announcement emnating from the English county circuit deserves a song (apologies to all but as the sites resident disc jokey (deliberate misnomer) I usurp the right to dedicate a lyric commemorating this
headline news whether it be it true or false! And yes, I aint ashamed to pin my colours to the mast - I AM HAPPY IF GIBSON LEAVES. If anyone wants to know at least one of the reasons why then refer to my post after the last one day game against Bangladesh.
And yes, I know that the Sammy defenders gonna crawl out of the woodwork but I want to see now how a fresh assessment of what WI needs going forward is gonna include the current cappo (no hard feelings skipper you done well but it aint good enough and it is about time that one of them upcoming fast bowlers is unleashed on the scene).
I really dont have anything against Gibson, but his capacity to mastermind a West Indian cricketing resurgence is limited. So is it bye, bye coach? And I don't mean them damned extras that WI kept giving away in the field of play during Gibson's tenure!
Oh, and Gibsons fans dem ought not to think that I imagine him singing
this one anytime soon, come what may I gonna grin and bear it.

South Africa 253
Pakistan 40/8 (25.5 ov)
Pakistan trail by 213 runs with 2 wickets remaining in the 1st innings
*Vernon Philander (rfm) 8 overs 5 maidens 8 runs 2 wickets
Steyn to Sarfraz Ahmed, OUT, Pakistan are 40 for 9! five for Steyn, another catch for de Villiers taking it low in front and to his right, Sarfraz is gone poking at one outside off, immaculate line and length from Steyn yet again
When do WI next play South Africa? Lord have mercy it wont be too soon! As badly as Pakistan are doing against South Africa, one just knows that put WI up against them and WI will be outclassed.
Pakistan all out for 49.
*Dale Steyn (rf) 8.1 overs 6 maidens 8 runs 6 wickets
Surely with 62.5 overs remaining in the day Soutgh Africa will enforce the follow-on.

Second Innings: VD Philander 26 10 59 5
7.3 to Nasir Jamshed, 81.4 mph, that drop didn't cost much did it? Jamshed fails to make use of the life, this was pitched up and moving away, he was forward for the drive, thick outside edge to the keeper and Philander gets another batsman with his stock delivery that hones in on the off stump 10/1
87.6 to Younis Khan, 77.4 mph, Appeal for an lbw and he's been given not out and Smith's reviewing it, pitched on a good length on middle and off and was coming in with the angle, Hot Spot detects a thin inside edge to the pads, the ball lobbed towards the keeper, the ball carries to AB and it looks like the lbw will be cancelled and it is - Younis is out caught behind 252/5
91.1 to Asad Shafiq, Philander strikes first ball! Typical Philander wicket, that teasing away swinger, lands outside off and has Shafiq pokes his bat out and edges to first slip, Smith takes it neatly falling to his left 259/6
93.4 to Sarfraz Ahmed, 79.0 mph, awesome catch by Alviro! One handed, Philander pitched it on off and got it to move away, Sarfraz pushed at it and the outside edge went low to Petersen's right at third slip, stuck his right hand out and no doubts about the catch, top effort 266/7
95.5 to Umar Gul, 79.0 mph, He's been given lbw and Gul has reviewed it, lands it on a good length just a shade outside off and coming in with the angle, Gul's struck high on the pads as he tries to work it away, HawkEye shows that clipping the stumps so the decision stays 268/8
First Innings: VD Philander 19 6 40 4
1.3 to Nasir Jamshed, 81.2 mph, Jamshed's been given out lbw! Long discussion with Azhar and it lasted more than 15 second and Jamshed eventually walks. Lands it on middle and holds its line, Jamshed was on the back foot, the ball skids through and hits him high on the pads, HawkEye shows that clipping the top of the middle stump 7/2
63.2 to Asad Shafiq, 81.6 mph, how unlucky is he! Mirrors Faf du Plessis' freak dismissal at the Wanderers! This landed outside off and he defended that with soft hands, the ball bounced close to the crease and spun backwards and hit the base of the off stump and removed the off bail. Shafiq didn't know what was happening and was too late to even react, he walks back stunned 147/5
65.1 to Azhar Ali, 81.6 mph, two out of two and Azhar's gone! Typical Philander type of wicket, this was pitched outside off and moving away, Azhar loses his concentration for a split second and pokes his bat out, thick outside edge and well snapped up by AB falling to his right, takes it in front of first slip 152/7
65.2 to Umar Gul, 79.6 mph, that's a hat-trick of wickets for South Africa and Philander is on a hat-trick himself! He has Alviro to thank for taking a brilliant catch, this was pitched up and moving away sharply, Gul should have left that alone, reaches out and goes for the drive, outside edge and Alviro at fourth slip flings himself to his left and cups it and falls 152/8

Fantastic by Philander...he is clearly one of the best bowlers in the world right now.
