There's a good reason why Samuels has been moaning about pay in Tests. Here it is....
http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-prem ... 94842.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
'Daredevils have brought in Marlon Samuels as a replacement for the injured wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock, for the remainder of the season. De Kock had been ruled out of the IPL with an injury to his right index finger he picked up during the New Zealand tour last month. Samuels is expected to join the Daredevils squad on April 29. Samuels was among the unsold players in the IPL auction this year, with a base price of INR 100 lakhs.'
100 lakh is more than £100,000....

This should please AfCrow....
"
West Indies' squad is unchanged from the one that fell to a seven-wicket defeat in Kingston. Eyebrows were raised when Shimron Hetmyer and Vishaul Singh were both selected to make their debut in a side that already lacks experience, and one of them could make way for Jermaine Blackwood."

Why change a losing squad?

Kraigg out for nine...I guess that was just a matter of time.
Hetmyer out for one...the poor young man being force-riped, and his confidence going take a serious blow. Blackwood should've been playing instead of him.
On my way to the beach now...I'm sure I'll enjoy that more than this shite.

Looks like a choice between Singh & Hetmyer for the chop for the third and final test.

a series of tussle between the sides represents a reasonable recovery given the loss of early wickets. For all his form this season, Singh should not bat ahead of Chase ... at this early stage of his career. To my mind he should drop down one place in the order for the next game if selected ... and beyond any doubt he should be selected. I would set the remaining batters a stretch target of amassing 350 from here, beyond that would be a bonus given the way the innings has gone. By close of play tomorrow we will know whether this first day 'platform' will have enabled West Indies to start day 3 on an even keel in the match.
So here we are in the 2nd test and West Indies close day1 286/6 (89.0 ov).
Though Singh did not bat ahead of Chase in this game, he sadly failed again. For the next game, if they still get picked, I would drop Hetmyer down one place in the batting order and shift Hope up one. Dorwich also bats ahead of Singh. I would set the remaining batters a minimum target of 350.
Well played Chase & Holder. By close of play tomorrow we will know whether this first day 'platform' will have enabled West Indies to start day 3 on an even keel in the match.
It's all a bit too much like History repeating ... ain't it?
