Officials off the TTCB met with the national cricketers and their management team on Sunday at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) for a post post-mortem of the results of the past year. This followed individual meetings with each player and the president on Friday and Saturday. Bassarath said Sunday’s session noted that T&T had two bad games which derailed the season. “They spoke off the T20 semi-final loss against Guyana and the match against the Windwards in the recent West Indies 50 overs championships.
“What they told us was that they had two bad days at the ‘office’ and would be fighting very hard in the new year to correct their flaws and ensure that they win their big matches.” T&T finished fourth in the regional First Class series, was knocked out in the semi-finals off the regional T20 series and failed to come out of the preliminary round in the regional 50 overs championships.
