out of curiosity I went to sissy where I have not been for a very long time to look around. I found the above link and though I have not been through the discussion the articule stimulated the article itself is brilliant, precise, to the point..exposing the westindian malaise in many fewer words than I take in my attempts to say the same thing.

for that article alone sissy can be commended. and it is not the only excellent one on sissys front page

sissy.com despite all Narines baning nonsese is in fact a decent cricket board, very good one indeed. Narine must be given credit for keeping that board going at a high level all these years.

I take back some of the things I have said about him recently. he has made a contribution of something postive to the westindies...sissy.com

despite its warts sissy is a fine publication! I have to give jack his jacket!

I myself will never post there again for zIam pissed at how Narine banned me and for what he banned me. that side of the man I will never like, never accept. but I give him his work on sissy overall. its good!

I still dont agree with Sammy as captain...and worse sknash as v-cap.

but overall Porfessor Hinds exposes the westindies elites for what they are simply and squarely for all to see. and thats no small contribution!

Some of these academics seem trapped in a time warp and impute glorious ideals to even the most craven opportunists like Floyd Reifer and Darren Sammy.

Still can't believe the self-serving charlatans like Beckles and this other dinosaur would dare to compare the unworthy Reifer & Sammy to great- and principled-Frank Worrell.

No one, outside of his insular territory, will see Darren Sammy as anything but a compliant waterboy underserving of his place in the test team, much less as captain.

Cricket has been losing supporters for years and this could very well be the final nail in its coffin.

This represents the last flickering ember of West Indies cricket that has lost its significance to a wide swath of the people-regardless of what Prof Uglyman, has to say.

I dont see how he can call sammy an opportunist but I have no real proof to the contrary. from all I see Sammy is a fine young westindian male who finds himself as a cricketer in a situation he perhaps could hardly have expected.

for his decent sake I hope he is not stripped and destroyed in the process. but even if he fails which is the most likely outcome, he grows and becomes a much stronger citizen for it.

the rest of sprats comment is worthy. westindies cricket is on its last leg nd after this w are probably done. sammy cant possibly succeed. he himself is not good enough to make a playing difference. and apart from Benn and now Shillingford, a young Roach and an aging shive he has no players.

gayle may or may not in sri lanka. Bravo is bravo..a most in and out sort! Baugh is a waste of time, a pure idiot if there ever was one on a cricket field. Russell is an exciting young player and Barath suggested much in australia.

sknash will have his work cut out in Lanka. the lankans can bowl in their country..really bowl..not like Bollinger and Johnson etc. whom he dealt with in Oz. there are no featherbeds in Lanka that will allow sknash to score big at least once and keep his place. he will be throughly examined and I dont belive he will pass the test.

but... all combined this collection makes an iffy proposition with its baggage in particular, that would take far more than Sammy can possibly have to mould into a team that plays to its potential, far less win away from home

After reading your post ,I went and found some old articles ,one was posted wondering why this cc.com
forum hasn't grown as Cricinfo ,it seems to have stagnated . Most of the individuals who posted comments
were harsh on Biggie it seems it had out grown him and some one named wakkie .

I saw another poster asking is he still doing an MBA ,isn't it 10 years plus now ?

Its obvious this individual is clueless about such a degree . The forum would show improvements or a bit of business acumen to it .

I saw someone asking about donations ,his comments about it gave me a chuckle . I would not venture a comment.

I saw some poster mentioning some of the banned individuals and how the board was humming in those days , topics that needed thought and open the imagination. Its no longer here .I looked at some of the topics for
discussion amazing . Again not worthy of a comment.

isnt that the point itself...the content of a humming message board.... that the posters do their job of posting away excellently. that the admin act as stimulative factor..and even if he bans excessively, is dictstoral...narines stimulant apears effective?

the board is there thats the point..an accomplished fact. and we deal with it as an accomplished fact, living breathing at some level. I have determined that it is a good level, a postive contribuition to westindian reality, and for that reason Narine is not all negative contribution to westindian nastiness, for the board is not all nasty.

I dont know Narine myself Jason. the BOARD man..the board! thats what I am basing my opinion on.

I claimed that Narine contributed only nastiness to an already nasty westindian reality. I dont like to be wrong publicly, and where I discover I am I try to correct myself. the board is his work and therefore his contribution to the overall content of westindian life.

sissy.com is not a nagative publicstion, a nasty factor in westindian life. it is narines work so.....
