Rowe: Sammy not the right man

Controversial former Jamaica and West Indies batting ace Lawrence Rowe has joined the chorus of voices against the appointment of Darren Sammy as captain for the regional cricket team.
“Normally, your captain is always a person who is a fixture in the team and it’s very difficult now to see how the present captain is going to fit into this team, especially when you have someone like (Dwayne) Bravo playing in the team. It’s very difficult to both of them playing in a test match, so it think it’s going to be a very difficult task for the selectors,” Rowe told RJR…
“A lot of things have changed a lot from the time I played. These days, players make decision for themselves and not necessarily what is right for the West Indies and you can’t blame them or the WICB, it’s just the signs of the times … people have to look after themselves,” Rowe added….

yes man! sammy as captain is an impossible decison from a practical angle. he simply cannot be played without weakening an already weak side.

its impossible! and 2 supposedly grown mature and educated men are responsible: the double destructive skunts, hunte and hilaire.

its the right time of year..haloween... to contemple such such desructive horror and havoc as hunte..recently adding hilaire... has wreaked on westindies cricket. I wonder who else the 'committee' has lined up to elect unapposed as wicb chair.

its going to be really hard o surpass Jualin skunt Hunte for stupidty and desructiveness

the thing is Darren Samy is a decent young chap, being used by elders who are not decent in the least! thats the trouble here.

Sammy should renege on his acceptance of the appointment for it holds only ruin for him. he will go down in history as the tool used finally to flip westindies cricket on its back
