Darren Sammy has urged his West Indies side to remain focussed on the task at hand, following the drawn second Test against Sri Lanka. The weather has badly disrupted the series, particularly in the second Test at the Premadasa Stadium, where West Indies allowed Sri Lanka to recover from a shaky start to control the game. “It’s always difficult when you are on and off the cricket field,” said the West Indies captain. [On Saturday’s last day] it looked like we wouldn’t have any play, but the weather cleared up. This is something as professionals we have to master.” The three-match series remains level at 0-0, with the third and final Test, starting on Wednesday at Pallekele.

'reverting to form and type Sammy, as if yu doh know!'

the conditions were not as easy as in the first test and all man save Darren Bravo werent up to the battle the Lankan bowling demanded at premdass. its going to be even worse next test if the conditions are similar.

westindies batting simply does not have the class to deal with Bowling of the kind that Mendis in particular tosses up. lil Bravo for sure does, and lil Barath.

unorthodox Gayle has batlled with such before but Chanderpaul seems entitrely out of sorts. and I dont know about big Bravo. at times he looks a super batsman and at others he gets out so silly it enrages the soul.

Bravo better start produce if he values his place or the 'selectahs' will balance the team on his back. deh doh care!

and as for sammy, staying focused applies to him more than the rest of team. he is not taking wickets, not scoring and he has dropped important catches. :x :x :x
