LEADING local bank First Citizens was yesterday announced as the sponsors of the Trinidad and Tobago cricket team to participate in the forthcoming Caribbean Cup T20 which bowls off on January 9 in Antigua.
The announcement was made yesterday at the Petrotrin Sports Club in Pointe-a-Pierre.
First Citizens have injected $250,000 with $50,000 being used for the T20 Cricket Festival which was concluded yesterday, $150,000 for the Caribbean Cup T20 tournament and $50,000 for the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s development fund.
In attendance were Warren Sookdar, Chief Information Officer; Dale Mohammed, Community Relations Officer of First Citizens along with top officials of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board Azim Bassarath, Chairman of the National Selectors Dudnath Ramkessoon and Baldath Mahabir. TT representative on the West Indies Cricket Board.
