Not too long after West Indies off-spinner Shane Shillingford was deemed by the ICC to be bowling with an illegal action resulting in his non-selection for the World Cup squad, nine bowlers have allegedly been reported by Umpires officiating in last month’s Caribbean T20 tournament.
A source close to the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) yesterday confirmed to Kaieteur Sport that a Guyanese is among those reported after the Umpires in the tournament which was played in Antigua and Barbados, had expressed concern with their actions.
While most of the Regional cricket officials who were contacted for a comment declined to comment on the issue
, the head of the Trinidad and Tobago Selection panel Dudnath Ramkessoon has publicly confirmed that the bowling action of T&T’s pacer Kevon Cooper and off-spinner Sunil Narine was under scrutiny.
“I am having a meeting with the two young men tomorrow (today) morning and I would prefer to speak to them first before I say anything else. I don’t want them to be reading about it in the papers before I get a chance to speak to them,” Ramkessoon was quoted as saying on an internet story yesterday.

We know Cooper and Narine from T&T ...

Who are the others?

nobody! they are toast! bowling actions cannot be corrected save some player is so determined he gives his life to it. and I done even know if dat will work.

once a pelter always a pelter. same for the opposite..once yuh have a good action, yuh always have one

Seriously Mapoui, which top team will hire Gibson as a head coach?
I'm not talking about minnows now..

Gibson is nothing but a glorified bowling coach ... :)

Gibson was happy with Flingford...right? How about Butts, Brownenose, & Haynes... ? Are the selectors watching the regional games?

I dont know yet the quality of the work Gibson is doing. but I watch and the team is not playing as bad as it appeared to do just 18 months ago.

wat can I say! I would like to see a ood coach in here. but I dont really care for a coach with as much power as modern coaches have in cricket.

I dont see the need for such in cricket. coaches in cricket need be only technical fellows as far as I see. they muck up the process otherwise, usurp the cappo and turn administration on its head. and at high additional coast!

coaches cost millions of dollars and in the westindies for one I cannot see the benefit for the millions spend on Bennet King, John Dyson and now Gibson. westindies have absolutely noothing to show for such huge and ridiculous expenditure.

so if you against Gibson as coach in the manner we have coaches now you preaching to the converted.

if Gibson was merely a technical coach, concerned only with coaching players and coordinating lest say 4-5 coaches doing he various apsects of the game with the pleayers, bowling, batting, pace, spin, fielding, keeping etc...and the physio and fitness staff... thats fine with me!

but thats how I see Gibsons job..the recommendation to the wicb about the pelters and to have the regional selection commites do something about them through the regular channells. I cyar see anthing else he could do.

and we dont know if he did in fact make recommendations of this knd and hey were ignored by whatever party,,the wicb and or the regional selecton committees
