Gayle in line for ESPN award

West Indies batsman Chris Gayle is the region’s only player among 55 nominations for the 2010 ESPNcricinfo Awards announced by the Web site this week. The powerful left-hander was shortlisted in the T20 batting category for his blistering 98 off 66 balls during West Indies’ 14-run win over India at the World T20 in Barbados on May 9.
