1) Gayle
2) Smith
3) Bravo
4) Sarwan
5) Shiv
6) Pollard
7) Russell
8) Thomas
9) Bishoo
10) Rampaul
11) Roach
Sammy no longer deserves a place in the side, Shiv has to come back to shore up the middle order, Rampaul has to play, Benn has to make way....
WI team for the quarterfinal

I would make one change....Benn would stay and Pollard goes.
Pollard is not good enuff! he cant score against good bowling, and he cant bowl better than Benn!
I wud settle for the 5 batsmen and Benn. or if not, add Edwards instead of Benn and over Pollard. Edwards is a far, far better player than Pollard.
Pollard is T20. pik him for dat or doh pik him at all
and I wud ask Sarwan to captain this side...see what he can do with it!
and please...Benn as an opening bowler is simply an option in the ODI game and T20, not a staple. once sammy found that possibly he used it and never stopped even it is silly doing against India whose forte' is spin.
you open with full pace against India, not pace and spin. who is sooprised dat the Indian openers ate Benn for breakfast. pace, bouncers, short well directed balls is for India not spin..especially with sehwag out..
spin for India if yu have Gibbs. speed otherwise!

I have couple changes to your team Mike... Bravo to take over the Keeping, Benn comes in for Rampaul.
However, this will most likely be the team WI will go with ...
1) Gayle
2) Smith
3) Bravo
4) Sarwan
5) Sammy
6) Pollard
7) Russell
8) Thomas
9) Bishoo
10) Benn
11) Roach

And, as we all know, that team can't bat out 50 overs....

I did not know that Bravo was a keeping option. if he is let him keep. Thomas is not a viable option as keeper.
the batting must be lengthened so that makes it imperitive to play Edwards. Pollard is not a very good batsman. his technique is hardly that..a technique. so I would gladly play Edwrads ahead of him
westindies are not playing with any confidence, determination of care under Sammy. that could mean the players are not satisfied with sammys' leadership. me too. I have just abut written-off this WC exercise. its nonsense, pointless...a waste of time
but playing it out, let Bravo keep then....Thomas. drop sammy! keep both Rampaul and Benn.all the batting would be included. Smith, Gayle, Bravo, Sarwan, Edwards,Shive, Russell, Roach, Rampaul, Benn, Bishoo

But who cares? NOt Cappo nor Coach...! West Indies is not there to compete but for an appearance fee. Yesterday, they were testing bench strength at a point where your best team should be primed for the QF. WI is lost!mikesiva wrote:And, as we all know, that team can't bat out 50 overs....

this would be a good combination based on the squad at hand.mapoui wrote:I did not know that Bravo was a keeping option. if he is let him keep. Thomas is not a viable option as keeper.
