WI vs Pak ODI series

To me, these ODI series are fairly pointless. Years from now, who really remembers who wins such-and-such an ODI series? It's not like a Test series, which goes down in history. So, I think this ODI series should be used to build our ODI side for the next World Cup.

So, what's our team likely to look like for the five-match ODI series? There's quite a bit of talent out there, and maybe they should be given a chance or two in this relatively pressure-less series....

This is my squad of batsmen:

1) Kraigg Brathwaite
2) Devon Smith
3) Kirk Edwards
4) Marlon Samuels
5) Darren Bravo
6) Kieron Pollard
7) Andre Fletcher
8) Denesh Ramdin/Kyle Corbin (we need a keeper who can score runs)

I think Gayle and Sarwan should be rested, as senior batsmen who failed to deliver consistently. I think Shiv should retire from ODIs, and concentrate on Tests. Devon Thomas needs to go back to Leewards cricket to learn how to bat.

5) Suleimann Benn (still took a lot of wickets)

7) Shannon Gabriel
8) Fidel Edwards

10) Ryan Austin
11) Either Mathurin or Matthew from the Windwards

Adrian Barath, Jerome Taylor, Dwayne Bravo, Carlton Baugh are all suffering from injuries, and I doubt we'll see them playing against Pakistan....
