I better go listen quick .... Well I listening and it sounds like Shiv and the current coach fufu don't boil at all. Seems like he (and a few other playes) got some issues over the training regime - gym work and running and so on.

Sounds like the management have bought into the idea that Shiv maybe sometimes bats in a manner that not in the best interests of the team - I for one never agree with that opinion.

He was quite frank in his responses to the questions.

Jala, are you thinking that some of that stuff should have been left in the team meetings and not aired in public?

Listening to the interview, I'm now developing grave reservations about Gibson....

He seems to be trying to treat all the players like bad schoolchildren who must be punished for the decline of WI cricket, and that's the wrong approach to take, because it will only make things worse. His management seems to have exacerbated relations not just with Shiv, but also with Gayle, Sarwan and Benn, and has ended the career of Deonarine, and may just end Barath's career too.

Agreed, the man is totally selfish and only thinks about himself!! , even in the interview he was talking about "ten thousand runs" like everyone should go out of their way to make him to get that!!, another thing that's disturbing is he's putting the blame for his shambolic performances at Gibbo's door when IT'S HIM who's at the crease, not Gibbo, Gibbo has clearly worked wonders with the bowling unit so people suggesting that "he doesn't treat the players properly" are just biased skunts with an agenda imo, when Roach took his hattrick at the world cup who did he run to? 1. Who told selfishpaul he is entitled to play for WI until he scores 10,000 runs in both forms of the game?
2. Since when a coach must not demand the highest level of fitness from very player?
3. Why should "seniors" be exempt from the coach's fitness regime?
4. Why didn't the english players complain about the "harsh" fitness program as instituted by Gibson
5. Why does selfishpaul have a problem with the coach sending out messages to him when batting if he is just poking at the crease to pad his average and not playing according to the team plan?....
6. Why does shiv have a problem with team meetings that require every player to be accountable for their performances on the field of play..
7. Why does arrogant shiv feel that no one can tell him about batting...does he feel he is god?...why does Kobe Bryant need Phil Jackson to coach him?....I find that very arrogant by selfishpaul...we all continue to learn until we die

To me, that "interview" demonstrated the attitude of mediocrity and selfishness that has been allowed to fester for the last 15 years in WI cricket

Do you guys believe is freedom of speech or do you want continue to oppress people?

How about when Hilaire speaking out about the players and can't back up his talk? All yuh respect him?
