Adrian Barath, Brendan Nash, Darren Bravo, Lionel Baker and Gavin Tonge all come into the 14-man squad for this tour, which comprises jsut four one-dayers against Bangladesh and South Africa....

Travis Dowlin (capt), Adrian Barath, Lionel Baker, Darren Bravo, Odean Brown, Kirk Edwards, Imran Khan, Brendan Nash, Justin Guillen, Nelon Pascal, Shane Shillingford, Devon Smith, Gavin Tonge, Chadwick Walton

Out go Kraigg Brathwaite, Shannon Gabriel, Brendan Bess, Jason Holder, Jason Haynes, Shane Dowrich and Assad Fudadin....

Does this mean that those seven are out of Otis Gibson's thinking for the Saffer series? Is Gibson using this tour to get his non-20/20 players some practice? Does this mean that the omitted seven will come back into the reckoning for the longer A team tour of England?

So, can we expect the ODI and Test squads to play South Africa will come from the 14 above plus the squad selected for the world 20/20 champs?

What happen to Lambert and Ganga? Thought they were considering them for a run as well :)

Why there are two thirty something Downlin and Nash on the A team? Why is Devon Smith ahead of Brathwaite, Simmons, and other young openers? Where is the vision? How about investing in the future eh? :)

What is the purpose of the A Team,...recycle or develop young players?

I don't have a problem with Nash playing, because this is a useful tour for the guys who're not playing in the world 20/20 champs to get match-fit for South Africa's visit to the Caribbean....

And Dowlin is the captain, so his experience is useful for the youngsters, as showed during the four-day game against Zimbabwe. But I do wonder about the recall of Smith....
:?
I understand that Brathwaite, Dowrich and Holder are still in school or college, so maybe exams have something to do with it.

The A team is for development for the future...not past...

Get all the youngsters ( under 30) in and let them work for it... enough of this recycling bizniz :)
