Gabrielle Walcott:Miss T&T/Universe

Since 2008 when she was crowned Miss Trinidad and Tobago/World, Gabrielle Walcott had given fluent, confident interviews. But in her 2011 Miss T&T/Universe incarnation—given the controversy that has swirled around her two immediate predecessors and even the ripples of displeasure about her second national title—Walcott's ability to give substantial, direct answers to difficult questions about the beauty business is noteworthy. Let it be said right away: she won't be taking any topless pictures at Trump's behest.
"You are representing every single person in the country and you have to take their points of view into consideration. You are not known as Gabrielle Walcott. You are known as Miss T&T so you have to ask 'will all of T&T support me with this or will there be people who think that it is wrong?' I would want to avoid situations that could offend people," she reasons.
What about Anya Ayoung Chee's sex tape scandal or, for that matter, the Wendy Fitzwilliam child-out-of-wedlock chapter? How does Walcott rationalise the fact that even the most private decision-making of beauty queens can become fair game for public scrutiny and criticism?
"I believe in two things: freedom of choice and being responsible for your actions," Walcott says link
