Playing at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad, points leaders Harpy Eagles slipped to 33-3 before three solid partnerships in the middle took them to 307-6. There was another collapse however, that saw the last four wickets falling cheaply. Guyanese all-rounder Kevin Sinclair “Being bowled out was a bit of a damper. (But) I think we did well to recover from 30-odd for three to get to 324 at the end of the day,” captain Johnson, who is playing his last season for Guyana, told CWI Media at the close. After the early loss of opening pair Tevin Imlach (4) and Matthew Nandu (10) and debutant Kevlon Anderson (6), Johnson and Kemol Savory repaired the innings with a partnership of 97 before both fell within 10 runs of each other to make it 140-5. Johnson made 62 off 99 (12x4s) and Savory 44 off 109 (4x4s). Sinclair and Bramble then put together 79 for the sixth wicket, before Bramble was dismissed for a run-a-ball 56 (8x4s, 1×6). Anthony Bramble Harpy Eagles’ recovery continued with a seventh wicket stand of 88 between Sinclair and Keemo Paul, who struck seven fours and a six in 39-ball 46. The partnership ended when Sinclair fell for 69 off 96 (11x4s). Bowling for Red Force, Imran Khan took 4-80, Bryan Charles 3-85 and Uthman Muhammad 2-31. Darren Bravo also took a wicket, that of Anderson leg before in just the ninth over of the day. Below are the summarised scores from the other two games At Providence, Guyana: Windward Islands Volcanoes 217 all out from 60.3 overs (Alick Athanaze 81, Justin Greaves 50; Derval Green 5-30, Nicholson Gordon 2-26, Jamie Merchant 2-39) vs Jamaica Scorpions 98-7 from 21 overs (Derval Green 33*, Jamie Merchant 24; Justin Greaves 4-34, Shermon Lewis 2-29) At Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad: Barbados Pride 294-8 from 88 overs (Shane Dowrich 116*, Chaim Holder 43, Kevin Wickham 41; Rahkeem Cornwall 6-50)
