Prime Minister Patrick Manning yesterday launched his party’s 2010 manifesto, boasting of the Government’s track record and dared his political opponent to match the party’s vision.
The People’s National Movement’s (PNM) manifesto entitled ’Caring about you today and tomorrow’ was revealed at a ceremony at the Hilton Trinidad hotel, St Ann’s, where top-ranking members of the party, Ministers and candidates contesting the May 24 general election were in attendance.
Manning later decribed the manifesto as ’super duper’ at a walkabout in his constituency.
The document outlines the development plan for the country, many of them promises made before in 2007, geared to achieving Vision 2020.
These include the billion-dollar rapid rail system, an aluminium smelter plant and a major highway development programme.
