Responding to West Indies ‘A’ mammoth first innings score of 445, Bangladesh ‘A’, trailing 0-1 in the series, closed on a shaky 157-7, still 288 runs in arrears. Resuming on a solid 320-6, West Indies ‘A’ strengthened their position, thanks largely to Sinclair and Akeem Jordan after overnight batsman Raymon Reifer was dismissed without addition to his 56. Sinclair fell for 60 off 122 balls (7x4s, 1×6), his second half-century of the series, and his sixth overall in his 18th First-Class game. Notably, it was his fifth fifty in First-Class cricket since the start of 2023. Jordan offered valuable support by striking 47 off 63 balls (5x4s, 1×6), while Veerasammy Permaul and Anderson Phillip made 18 and 13 not out respectively in a last wicket stand worth 28. Nasum Ahmed took 5-133 for Bangladesh ‘A’, who lost wickets at regular intervals. Phillip and Sinclair have so far taken 2-36 and 2-52 respectively, with Saif Hassan (32), Zakir Hasan (29) and Nurul Hasan (28) being the leading scorers for the home side.
