Tsotsobe is dropped from the first Test....

My initial reaction was to question South Africa's decision to drop Tsotsobe and replace him with Philander, but Philander has been bowling with some pace, and he's already had a breakthru, taking the wicket of Hughes. Steyn, of course, had the other breakthru, taking the wicket of Watson...Australia 39-2 at lunch.

Steyn gets his third wicket, and Marsh is the man out for 44. But Clarke is still there on 74 not out, and the Aussies are 143-4 at tea.

Looks like Clarke put up a one man fight here.. He needs a partner and Hussey might be the man...

Philander is an allrounder so should be able contribute more with the bat over Tsotsobe..

Morkel gets the wicket of Hussey cheaply, and as you say, Bally, Clarke is conducting a one-man resistance against the Saffers....158-5.
