RIP Dolly....
All this 'coloured' South African wanted to do was play cricket, and he was banned from doing so in his native apartheid country, because of the colour of his skin. So, he migrated to England, earned his place on the side, and the Saffers refused to play him because he wasn't white. It's the same reason why the Saffers of the time refused to play the West Indies and teams from the Subcontinent.
The furore that arose from the Saffers racist stance led to the Gleneagles agreement, and South Africa being rightly kicked out of sport until they dismantled the unacceptable regime of apartheid. In his own way, Dolly created history....
