"The world will not need to wait long to get a glimpse at triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt's fitness for his highly anticipated 2012 season. Healthy and on a new nutrition program, Bolt plans to launch his run-up to defending his 100 and 200 meters titles at the 2012 London Games with tune-up races in Jamaica next month, the world's fastest man told Reuters."

"Usain Bolt will make his first international appearance of the year at the Bislett Games in Oslo on 7 June. The triple Olympic champion will run in the 100 metres at the event, which takes place six weeks before the 2012 Olympics gets underway. Before that he plans to run at least three training races in Jamaica starting next month."

"Usain Bolt said he will use the Golden Gala meet on May 31 as an early test of his form ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. This followed confirmation from the Jamaican sprint megastar that he will again this year take part in the men's 100 metres dash at the meet, which is the third leg of the IAAF Diamond League series."

"His first competition is over 400 metres at Camperdown Classic on February 11. Then at Gibson Relays on February 25, Bolt will run both relays 4x100m and 4x400m on behalf of Racers TC. The third date is March 17 at UWI Invitational Meet and again the 400m."

At Ostrava on Friday May 25, the men's 100m should feature Jamaicans Usain Bolt, Lerone Clarke and Kimmari Roach up against Kim Collins of st Kitts, American Darvis Patton, and Brits Dwain Chambers and Mark Lewis-Francis.
Americans Walter Dix and Wallace Spearmon should run in the men's 200m against Jamaicans Mario Forsythe and Marvin Anderson, and Michael Mathieu of the Bahamas.
Mathieu runs again in the men's 400m against Lashawn Merritt of the US, South Africa's Oscar Pistorius, and Luguelin Santos of the DOminican Republic.
In the women's 200m, Jamaicans Veronica Campbell-Brown and Sherri-Ann Brooks will run against American Francene McCrorory.
In the women's 400m, it will Sanya Richards-Ross of the US versus Brits Christine Ohuruogu and Shana Cox, as well as Patricia Hall of Jamaica.

Running into a strong headwind, Jamaica's Usain Bolt laboured to a 10.04 win in the men's 100m, with Kim Collins of St Kitts second in 10.19, American Darvis Patton third (10.22), and another Jamaican, Lerone Clarke, fourth in 10.26.
Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica demolished the field to win the women's 200m in 22.39, ahead of Bianca Knight of the US (22.85). American Wallace Spearmon took the men's equivalent in 20.14, with Jamaican Marvin Anderson second in 20.41.

poor performance from Bolt...he looked very tense and the first part of his race in particular, was very very bad!
hope its a one off an he brings de rele business in london!!!
