Nippy seamer Carlos LaRose was the standout bowler for the Select XI, taking four wickets for 41 runs in eight overs, while Jonathan Van Lange chipped in with two wickets for 51 runs from his ten overs. In response, the Select XI struggled to build momentum, and despite a promising start with an opening partnership of 46 runs between Ushardeva Balgobin (27) and Brandon Jaikaran (25), they were unable to recover after losing wickets at regular intervals. Left-arm spinner Devon Lord, who was both economical and effective, led Demerara’s bowling attack, claiming three wickets for just 21 runs in his full quota.
