FORMER West Indies cricketers Gus Logie and Tony Gray have been nominated by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) to be appointed on the West Indies Selection Committee.
The TTCB source said that the current selection panel should have resigned a long time ago and noted that history would show the poor job they have done in guiding West Indies cricket.
“During the tenure of this selection panel there has been baffling selections and at no time you can recall the West Indian public being pleased with the team selected. For instance in the Third Test against South Africa why is Adrian Barath not selected?
“What is the problem with Lendl Simmons?
“The Chief Executive Officer of the WICB said that nothing is wrong with Simmons but the chairman of selectors is saying there is an issue with him,” said the source.
According to the TTCB source, there has been a positive reaction by the other regional territories when it was revealed that Gus Logie and Tony Gray would be nominated by the TTCB.
